5. Operating

5.1 Channel Controls

Each input channel on the CT-80S features dedicated controls for precise audio shaping:

  • GAIN Knob: Adjusts the input level signal for each channel. Turn clockwise to increase gain, counter-clockwise to decrease.
  • EQ (HF, MF, LF) Knobs: These three knobs control the high (HF), mid (MF), and low (LF) frequencies for each channel. Adjust to boost or cut specific frequency ranges to achieve desired tonal balance.
  • AUX Knob: Controls the auxiliary output send level for connecting and controlling monitor speakers or subwoofers.
  • FX Knob: Adjusts the level of the built-in effects (e.g., reverb) applied to the channel.
  • PAN Knob: Used for panning control, adjusting the balance of the signal from this channel to the left and right main outputs.
  • Channel Fader: Controls the overall volume level of the signal being sent from this channel to the main mix.

5.2 Master Controls

The master section provides overall control of the mixer's output:

  • Main L/R Faders: Control the overall volume of the left and right main stereo outputs.
  • PFL/AFL Button: (Pre-Fader Listen / After-Fader Listen) Allows you to monitor the level of the input signal on a specific channel before or after the fader, helping to observe signal levels for optimal gain staging.
  • MP3 Level Knob: Adjusts the playback volume for MP3/USB and Bluetooth audio sources.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your mixer:

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the surface of the mixer with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or controls.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cable Management: Ensure all cables are neatly organized and not under strain to prevent damage to ports and connectors.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your FULUODE CT-80S mixer, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the mixer and a working power outlet. Check the power switch.
  • No Sound Output: Verify that all channel faders and main L/R faders are raised. Check all cable connections from audio sources to the mixer and from the mixer to your speakers/headphones. Ensure the correct input is selected (e.g., USB, Bluetooth).
  • Distorted Sound: Reduce the GAIN knob for the affected channel. Check that the input signal is not too hot (peaking on the level meters). Adjust EQ settings if frequencies are over-boosted.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the mixer. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device. Ensure no other devices are interfering with the Bluetooth signal.
  • Phantom Power Not Working: Verify the +48V phantom power switch is engaged for condenser microphones. Ensure the microphone cable is an XLR type.

If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact FULUODE customer service for further assistance.
