1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Casfuy Automatic Pet Feeder, Model PF01. This device is designed to provide scheduled and portion-controlled meals for your cat or dog, ensuring consistent feeding habits. It features a 4-liter capacity, supports up to 6 meals per day with customizable portions, includes a voice recorder, and operates with a dual power supply for reliability.

2. Important Safety Information

• This automatic pet feeder is designed for dry food only. Do not use wet, canned, or moist food.
• To prevent food jams, ensure the dry food pellet size does not exceed 18mm (0.71 inches).
• Do not insert fingers or any objects into the food outlet or attempt to touch the rotor mechanism.
• The main unit contains electronic components. Do not submerge it in water or allow it to get excessively wet. Clean with a damp cloth only.
• For continuous operation during power outages, it is highly recommended to install 3 D-type batteries (not included) as a backup power source.
• Keep the feeder out of reach of children and pets when not in use or during cleaning.
• Ensure the power adapter cable is placed where pets cannot chew on it.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Unpacking and Initial Cleaning

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Wash the food hopper and stainless steel bowl with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before use. Do not wash the main feeder unit.
3. Ensure the desiccant bag is placed in its designated compartment in the lid to help keep food fresh.

4.2 Power Supply

The feeder supports dual power options: AC adapter and D-type batteries.

• AC Power: Connect the 5V power adapter to the feeder's power port and plug it into a wall outlet.
• Battery Backup: Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the main unit and insert 3 D-type alkaline batteries (not included). This ensures the feeder continues to operate during power outages.

4.3 Assembling the Feeder

1. Place the main feeder unit on a flat, stable surface.
2. Attach the food hopper securely onto the main unit.
3. Place the stainless steel bowl into the bowl holder, then attach the bowl holder to the main unit's food outlet.
4. Fill the food hopper with dry pet food. Ensure the food level is below the maximum fill line.
5. Close the lid securely to maintain food freshness.

5. Operating Instructions

The control panel typically includes buttons for setting time, meal times, portions, recording, and manual feeding.

5.1 Setting the Current Time

1. Press and hold the SET button until the hour digit flashes.
2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the hour (12-hour format with AM/PM).
3. Press SET again to move to the minute digit, then adjust using UP/DOWN.
4. Press SET to save and exit.

5.2 Programming Feeding Schedules

The feeder allows up to 6 meals per day, each with customizable portions (1-50 portions, 10g/portion).

1. Press the MEAL button to enter meal setting mode. The meal number (e.g., "M1") will flash.
2. Use UP/DOWN to select the meal number you wish to program (M1-M6).
3. Press SET to confirm the meal number. The hour digit for that meal will flash.
4. Adjust the hour and minute using UP/DOWN, pressing SET to move between them.
5. After setting the time, the portion size will flash. Adjust the number of portions (1-50) using UP/DOWN.
6. Press SET to save the meal settings and move to the next meal or exit if all meals are set.
7. To disable a meal, set its portion size to "0".

5.3 Voice Recording

Record a 10-second message to call your pet at meal times.

1. Press and hold the REC button. The microphone icon will appear.
2. Speak clearly into the microphone for up to 10 seconds.
3. Release the REC button to save the recording.
4. To play the recording, press the PLAY button.
5. To enable/disable the recording for scheduled meals, refer to the specific settings on your control panel (often indicated by "PL-1" for play, "PL-0" for disable).

5.4 Manual Feeding

To dispense food immediately, press the MANUAL button (or equivalent, often a single press of the "Feed" or "Dispense" button). One portion will be dispensed.

5.5 Slow Feed Function

For pets that eat too quickly, the slow feed function can dispense portions over a longer period (e.g., 0-60 seconds per portion). This setting is typically integrated into the meal programming. If available, adjust the slow feed duration when setting portion sizes for each meal.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures hygiene and proper functioning of the feeder.

1. Disconnect Power: Always unplug the power adapter and remove backup batteries before cleaning.
2. Disassemble: Remove the food bowl, bowl holder, food hopper, and lid from the main unit.
3. Washable Parts: The food hopper (ABS material) and the stainless steel bowl are washable. Wash them with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.
4. Main Unit: The main unit contains electronic components. Do not wash or submerge it. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure no water enters the control panel or battery compartment.
5. Desiccant Bag: Replace the desiccant bag every 1-2 months, or as needed, to maintain food freshness. Remove it before washing the lid.
6. Reassemble: Once all parts are dry, reassemble the feeder. Ensure all connections are secure.
