3. Setup & Assembly
Assembly of the DORTALA Gas Fire Pit Table is designed to be straightforward. Follow these steps carefully.
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Inspect all parts for any damage. Report any damage to DORTALA customer service before proceeding.
- Ensure all listed package contents are present.
3.2 Propane Tank Installation
The fire pit table is designed to accommodate a standard 20-pound propane gas cylinder (not included).
- Locate the access door on the side of the fire pit table. This door features a handle and a magnetic catch for easy opening.
- Open the access door.
- Carefully place the 20-pound propane tank into the designated compartment.
- Secure the propane tank using the built-in fixing hoop to prevent it from tilting or moving during use.
- Connect the regulator hose from the fire pit table to the propane tank valve. Hand-tighten securely.
- Close the access door, ensuring the magnetic catch engages.

3.3 Fire Glass Placement
- Distribute the provided fire glass evenly over the burner pan. Do not overfill or block the igniter electrode.

4. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to safely ignite and operate your DORTALA Gas Fire Pit Table.
4.1 Before Lighting
- Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" position.
- Open the valve on the propane tank slowly.
- Perform a leak test on all gas connections using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, turn off the propane tank valve immediately and do not operate the fire pit table. Contact DORTALA customer service.
4.2 Lighting the Fire Pit
- Push and hold the rotatable control knob in, then slowly turn it to the "LOW" position.
- While holding the control knob in, press the igniter button repeatedly until the burner ignites.
- Once ignited, continue to hold the control knob in for 15-20 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up and engage the safety valve.
- Release the control knob. If the flame extinguishes, repeat steps 1-3.
4.3 Adjusting the Flame
Once lit, rotate the control knob to adjust the flame height from "LOW" to "HIGH" as desired.
4.4 Shutting Down the Fire Pit
- Turn the control knob to the "OFF" position.
- Close the valve on the propane tank completely.
- Allow the fire pit table to cool down completely before covering or moving.
