4. Operating Your Keyboard

4.1 Typing Experience

The Air75 features low-profile Gateron Brown switches, offering a tactile typing experience. The 75% layout (84 keys) provides a compact form factor without sacrificing essential keys. Its ultra-thin aluminum frame (16 mm at thinnest point) eliminates the need for a wrist rest, promoting comfortable long-term use.

4.2 RGB Lighting Effects

The keyboard boasts 21 backlight modes and 4 side light modes. The innovative left LED light indicates Caps Lock and connection mode, while the right LED light shows battery power and system mode. You can select dynamic or static light modes according to your preference. With the Windows software, you can customize unlimited lighting effects. Please note that the keycaps are not backlit.

4.3 Multimedia and Shortcut Keys

The Air75 includes new multimedia buttons and shortcut keys. For Mac users, the scissors icon represents part of the screenshot; pressing FN + scissors captures the full screen. The keyboard also supports Siri and Cortana functions.

4.4 Battery Life

The 2500mAh battery provides approximately 48 hours of continuous use (laboratory test results; actual use may vary). Turning off the light mode during the day can significantly extend the usage time.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain the longevity and appearance of your keyboard, regularly clean the keycaps and chassis. Use a soft, lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For deeper cleaning, you can use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean underneath.

5.2 Switch Care

The Air75 features hot-swappable switches, allowing for easy replacement or customization. If a switch feels inconsistent or stops working, you can use the switch puller to carefully remove and replace it with one of the extra switches provided or a compatible low-profile switch.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard not connecting: Ensure the mode switch is set correctly (2.4G, Bluetooth, or Wired). For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode and visible to your device. For 2.4G, try re-inserting the receiver. For wired, ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected.
  • Keys not responding: Try connecting the keyboard via USB-C cable to rule out wireless issues. If individual keys are not working, they might be faulty switches. Utilize the hot-swappable feature to replace the problematic switch with an extra one.
  • RGB lighting issues: Check the keyboard's battery level. Ensure the lighting mode is enabled. If customization issues persist, refer to the NuPhy website for software updates or drivers.
  • Function keys not working as expected (e.g., F1-F12 instead of multimedia): Some users may need to download and install specific firmware updates from the NuPhy official website to adjust the default behavior of function keys.
  • Battery not holding charge: Ensure the keyboard is properly connected via USB-C for charging. If the issue persists after prolonged charging, contact customer support.
