The ZHIYUN Crane M3 is a compact and versatile 3-axis handheld gimbal stabilizer designed for a wide range of cameras, including mirrorless cameras, smartphones, and action cameras. It features upgraded motors for stable movements, a built-in LED fill light, a quick-release system, and an intuitive touchscreen interface for enhanced filming experience.

2. Key Features

• Compact Size & Powerful Performance: Designed to be as tiny as a water bottle, yet equipped with upgraded motors for strong torque, ensuring stable filming with various camera sizes. 3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Upon receiving your ZHIYUN Crane M3, carefully unbox all components. Ensure all items listed in the packing list are present and undamaged. The gimbal comes in a protective foam case designed for secure storage and transport.

3.2 Attaching the Mini Tripod

The mini tripod can be screwed into the 1/4" expansion port at the bottom of the gimbal handle for stable placement on flat surfaces or for extended grip.

3.3 Mounting and Balancing Your Camera

The Crane M3 features an upgraded quick release system. Attach your camera to the quick release plate, then slide the plate onto the gimbal. Ensure all axes are unlocked before balancing. Adjust the camera position until it remains stable in any orientation when the motors are off. This prevents motor strain and ensures smooth operation.

For smartphones and action cameras, an accessory mount is required. Connect the appropriate control cable from the gimbal to your camera to enable remote control functions.

3.4 Powering On and Off

Before powering on, ensure your camera is properly balanced and all axes are unlocked. Press and hold the power button on the gimbal handle to power on. Repeat to power off.

4. Operating Modes

The ZHIYUN Crane M3 offers various operating modes to suit different shooting scenarios. These modes can be selected via the touchscreen or the mode button on the handle.

• Pan Following (PF): The camera pans left/right following the handle's movement, while tilt and roll axes are locked.
• Full Following (F): All three axes (pan, tilt, roll) follow the handle's movement, providing dynamic and immersive shots.
• Locking (L): All three axes are locked, keeping the camera pointed in a fixed direction regardless of handle movement.
• Full-Range POV: The camera rotates 360° on all three axes, allowing for a "first-person view" effect.
• Vortex (V): The camera rotates 360° along the roll axis, creating a "barrel roll" effect.
• GO Mode: Increases the response speed of the gimbal, ideal for fast-moving subjects or quick transitions.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the gimbal. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
