Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your SinoTrack ST-902L GPS Tracker.
Step 1: Activate SIM Card
Acquire a local 4G (LTE) SIM card. Insert the SIM card into your mobile phone to activate it and remove any PIN code. Ensure the SIM card can make calls, send texts, and has an active internet connection. Once confirmed, insert the activated SIM card into your tracker.
Step 2: Turn On the Tracker
Charge the device for approximately 1 hour initially. The yellow and blue indicator lights will flash as the device searches for network and GPS signals. Allow about 5 minutes in an area with good reception (e.g., near a window or outdoors) for both lights to become solid. If the yellow light continues to flash, move the device to a different location. The device will obtain a GPS location when a signal is available; otherwise, it will use LBS (Location Based Service).
Step 3: Setting APN for the Tracker
You need to know your SIM card's APN (Access Point Name) details, which can be obtained from your SIM card provider. Send the appropriate SMS command from another phone to the tracker's SIM card number to configure the APN.
- If your SIM card's APN has no username or password: Send the text command
8030000 [APN](e.g.,8030000 everywhere). The tracker will reply "SET OK". - If your SIM card's APN has a username and password: Send the text command
8030000 [APN] [APN user] [APN pass](e.g.,8030000 everywhere eesecure secure).
Note: APN settings vary by SIM card provider. Adjust the command according to your specific APN details.
Step 4: Setting GPRS Mode
Send the text command 7100000 to the device to set it to GPRS mode. After approximately 30 seconds, both the blue and orange lights should remain ON, indicating that the tracker is active and ready for online tracking. You can then log in to the SinoTrackPRO web platform or mobile app. Your username is the tracker's ID number (found on the product), and the default password is 123456.
If the device is online but shows a China location, move it to an outdoor area with good signal reception to acquire a proper GPRS signal, which will update its location.

- Are the IP and Port settings correct (compare with user manual)?

- Incorrect Location (e.g., China location): If the device is online but shows an incorrect location, take it to an outdoor area with good signal reception. The device needs a clear view of the sky to acquire accurate GPS signals.
