1. Introduction

• Regularly check that the base is securely attached and the leg rest is firmly positioned against the vehicle floor.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Graco IsoFamily i-Size ISOFIX Car Seat Base.

3.1 Preparing the Base

1. Ensure your vehicle is equipped with ISOFIX anchor points. These are typically located between the seat back and seat cushion.
2. Extend the ISOFIX connectors from the base. Locate the release buttons, usually on the side of the base, and press them to extend the connectors.

3.2 Installing the Base in the Vehicle

3. Align the ISOFIX connectors with your vehicle's ISOFIX anchor points. Push the base firmly against the vehicle seat back until the connectors click into place. The indicators on the ISOFIX connectors should turn from RED to GREEN.
4. Push the base firmly towards the vehicle seat back to ensure a tight fit. There should be minimal movement.
5. Lower the adjustable support leg until it makes firm contact with the vehicle floor. The indicator on the support leg should also turn from RED to GREEN. Ensure the leg is stable and not wobbly.

6. Verify all three indicators (two for ISOFIX connectors, one for the support leg) are GREEN. If any indicator is RED, re-adjust the base until all are green.

3.3 Attaching the Car Seat

6. Place your compatible Graco i-Size infant car seat onto the base. Push down firmly until it clicks into place.
7. Check the indicator on the base for the car seat attachment. This indicator should also turn GREEN, confirming the car seat is correctly secured to the base.
8. Before driving, gently pull up on the car seat to ensure it is firmly attached to the base.

4. Operating the Base

4.1 Detaching the Car Seat

To remove the car seat from the base, locate the car seat release lever (typically at the front or back of the car seat where it connects to the base). Pull the lever and lift the car seat upwards.

4.2 Adjusting Base Position

The IsoFamily base features 7 different positions to adjust the angle and fit within your vehicle. To adjust, locate the recline adjustment handle (usually at the front or side of the base). Squeeze the handle and move the base to the desired position. Release the handle to lock it in place. Ensure the car seat remains level and secure after adjustment.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your car seat base.

• Cleaning: The material composition is 30% Polyester and 70% Plastic. For cleaning, hand wash the fabric components. Wipe plastic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use, store the base in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the base for any signs of wear, damage, or loose parts. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact Graco customer support.
