2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using this product.

  • Read all instructions: Familiarize yourself with the shredder's functions and safety warnings.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the shredder from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the shredder on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation. The integrated casters allow for easy positioning.
  3. Dustbox Installation: Ensure the 25L dustbox is correctly inserted into the main unit. The shredder will not operate if the dustbox is not properly seated due to a safety interlock.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard AC100V 50/60Hz electrical outlet.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, locate the main power switch (if present, typically on the back or side) and turn it to the 'ON' position.
  • The shredder will enter standby mode.
  • To power off, turn the main power switch to the 'OFF' position and unplug the unit from the power outlet.

5.2 Auto-Feed Operation

The auto-feed function allows for shredding large quantities of paper without manual feeding.

  1. Ensure the shredder is powered on and in standby mode.
  2. Stack up to 160 sheets of A4 paper (64g/m²) neatly into the auto-feed slot.
  3. The shredder will automatically detect the paper and begin shredding.
  4. The maximum continuous operation time for auto-feed is approximately 30 minutes. Allow the unit to cool down if it reaches this limit or activates overheat protection.

5.3 Manual Feed Operation

Use the manual feed slot for smaller quantities, plastic cards, or stapled documents.

  1. Ensure the shredder is powered on and in standby mode.
  2. Insert up to 12 sheets of A4 paper, one plastic card, or a document with staples (up to No. 12) into the manual feed slot.
  3. The shredder will automatically detect the item and begin shredding.
  4. The maximum continuous operation time for manual feed is approximately 10 minutes.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying the Dustbox

The 25L dustbox has a transparent window to monitor the waste level. Empty the dustbox regularly to prevent paper jams and ensure optimal performance.

  1. Unplug the shredder from the power outlet.
  2. Pull out the dustbox from the main unit.
  3. Dispose of the shredded waste.
  4. Reinsert the dustbox firmly until it clicks into place.

6.2 Cleaning

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the shredder with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Shredder Blades: For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to oil the shredder blades periodically (e.g., after every 30 minutes of continuous shredding or when performance decreases). Use a specialized shredder oil sheet or liquid shredder oil applied to a sheet of paper and run it through the manual feed.

7. Troubleshooting
