2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The Orbit 62056 timer requires two AA alkaline batteries (not included). Ensure batteries are inserted correctly according to polarity markings.

- Insert two fresh AA alkaline batteries, matching the +/- indicators.

2.2 Connecting to Faucet

2.3 Connecting Hose
Attach your garden hose to the outlet at the bottom of the timer.
- Screw your garden hose onto the threaded outlet at the bottom of the timer.
- Tighten securely to prevent leaks.
3. Operating Instructions
The Orbit 62056 features a single-dial control for easy programming. Follow these steps to set your watering schedule.

3.1 Setting the Clock
- Turn the dial to SET CLOCK.
- Use the + and - buttons to adjust the current time.
- Press the MANUAL button to confirm and move to the next setting (AM/PM).
3.2 Setting Start Time
- Turn the dial to START TIME.
- Use the + and - buttons to set your desired watering start time.
- Press the MANUAL button to confirm.
3.3 Setting How Long (Watering Duration)
- Turn the dial to HOW LONG.
- Use the + and - buttons to set the watering duration from 1 to 240 minutes (4 hours).
- Press the MANUAL button to confirm.

3.4 Setting How Often (Watering Frequency)
- Turn the dial to HOW OFTEN.
- Use the + and - buttons to set the watering frequency (e.g., every 6 hours, every 12 hours, daily, every 2 days, up to every 7 days).
- Press the MANUAL button to confirm.

3.5 Activating Automatic Watering
- After setting all parameters, turn the dial to AUTO. The timer will now operate according to your programmed schedule.
3.6 Manual Watering
To water manually without interrupting your programmed schedule:
- Press the MANUAL button.
- Use the + and - buttons to select the desired manual watering duration.
- The timer will begin watering immediately and shut off after the selected duration.
3.7 Rain Delay Feature
To conserve water during rainy periods, you can temporarily pause your watering schedule:
- While the dial is set to AUTO, press the + button.
- Each press will cycle through rain delay options: 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours.
- The timer will pause for the selected duration and then resume its programmed schedule automatically.

3.8 Turning Off the Timer
- Turn the dial to OFF to stop all automatic and manual watering.

4.1 Battery Replacement

4.2 Freezing Prevention
To prevent damage from freezing temperatures, remove the timer from the faucet and store it indoors in a location where temperatures remain above 32°F (0°C) before the first frost.
