2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the printer. Failure to do so may result in injury, damage to the printer, or poor print quality.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure the printer is connected to a grounded power outlet. Do not operate with wet hands or in damp conditions.
- Hot Surfaces: The nozzle and print bed can reach high temperatures. Avoid touching these components during operation or immediately after. Allow them to cool before handling.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands, hair, and loose clothing away from moving parts during operation to prevent entanglement.
- Ventilation: Operate the printer in a well-ventilated area, especially when printing with materials that may emit fumes.
- Children and Pets: Keep the printer out of reach of children and pets. Adult supervision is required if children are present.
- Filament Handling: Use only recommended filament types. Store filament in a dry environment to prevent moisture absorption.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present and in good condition upon unpacking. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact customer support.

4. Setup and Assembly
The Ender-2 Pro is designed for quick assembly, with approximately 90% of the printer pre-installed. Follow these four steps to complete the setup.

Figure 4.1: Visual guide to the four-step assembly process.
- Attach the XZ Axis Profile: Secure the XZ axis profile to the base using the provided screws.
- Install the DIY Handle: Mount the red DIY handle to the top of the XZ axis.
- Mount the Material Rack and Tube: Attach the filament spool holder (material rack) and guide tube to the designated positions.
- Connect the Snap-on Screen: Attach the control screen to the side of the printer base.
Ensure all connections are secure and cables are properly routed before powering on the printer.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On and Initial Checks
Connect the power cable and turn on the printer. The screen will illuminate. Ensure the print bed is clear of any debris.
5.2. Loading Filament
- Place the filament spool onto the material rack.
- Feed the filament through the material tube into the extruder.
- Preheat the nozzle to the appropriate temperature for your filament type (e.g., 200°C for PLA).
- Once heated, push the filament through the extruder until it emerges from the nozzle.
5.3. Starting a Print
- Prepare your 3D model using slicing software (e.g., Cura, PrusaSlicer) and save it as a G-code file onto the provided SD card.
- Insert the SD card into the printer's card slot.
- Navigate the menu on the snap-on screen to "Print from SD" and select your desired G-code file.
- The printer will begin the preheating process, followed by automatic bed leveling (if applicable) and then printing.
5.4. Resume Printing Function
The Ender-2 Pro features a resume printing function that automatically saves your print progress in the event of a power failure. Once power is restored, the printer can resume from where it left off, preventing print failures and material waste.

Figure 5.1: The resume printing function ensures continuity even after power interruptions.
5.5. Magnetic Sticker Platform
The printer is equipped with a strong magnetic sticker platform, which facilitates easy installation and removal of printed models. After a print is complete and the bed has cooled, you can gently flex the magnetic sheet to detach the print.

Figure 5.2: The magnetic sticker platform simplifies print removal.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and consistent performance of your 3D printer.
- Clean the Print Bed: After each print, clean the print bed with isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue and ensure good adhesion for the next print.
- Nozzle Cleaning: Periodically clean the nozzle with the provided needle to prevent clogs. If a severe clog occurs, a cold pull or hot end disassembly may be required.
- Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply a small amount of lithium grease or similar lubricant to the Z-axis lead screw and smooth rods every few months to ensure smooth movement.
- Check Belt Tension: Ensure the X and Y axis belts are properly tensioned. The Ender-2 Pro includes a built-in belt tensioner for easy adjustment, which helps prevent layer shifting caused by inadequate tightness.

Figure 6.1: The integrated belt tensioner simplifies maintenance and improves print quality.

7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Ender-2 Pro 3D printer.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Filament not extruding | Clogged nozzle, tangled filament, incorrect temperature. | Clean the nozzle, untangle filament, verify temperature settings. |
| Poor bed adhesion | Unleveled bed, dirty print surface, incorrect bed temperature. | Level the print bed, clean the magnetic sticker platform, adjust bed temperature. |
| Layer shifting | Loose belts, print speed too high, motor issues. | Check and tension belts (use built-in tensioner), reduce print speed. |
| Excessive Noise | Fan noise, stepper motor noise. | The Ender-2 Pro features a silent motherboard to minimize stepper motor noise. Fan noise is normal during operation. Ensure no obstructions are near fans. |

Figure 7.1: The silent motherboard ensures quiet operation, suitable for various environments.
