2. Safety Information
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, read and understand all instructions before using this product.
- Always ensure the heater is properly installed and securely mounted according to the instructions.
- Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front of the heater.
- This heater is equipped with an overheating protection system that automatically cuts off power if the internal temperature exceeds safe limits. If this occurs, disconnect the power, allow the unit to cool, and then reconnect. If the issue persists, contact support.
- Do not use in bathrooms or other wet locations unless specifically rated for such environments. This model features waterproof LED light, but general electrical safety precautions apply.
- Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating on the heater's label.

4. Setup and Installation
The Byecold Infrared Ceiling Heater is designed for ceiling or wall mounting. Professional installation is recommended for electrical connections.
4.1 Mounting the Heater
The heater can be mounted on a ceiling or wall. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the heater's weight (approximately 8 kg). Refer to the included installation accessories for proper mounting.

Important Tip for Wall Anchors:
When using the provided two-part wall anchors (dübel), ensure the threaded piece is inserted into the wall first, with the threaded receiving end facing outwards. This prevents the shorter threaded part from detaching under load, which could cause the heater to fall. If unsure, consult a professional.
4.2 Electrical Connection
Connect the heater to a 230 VAC power source. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the electrical wiring to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.
4.3 Pairing the Heater and Thermostat Remote Control
Follow these steps to pair your heater with the remote control:
- Unplug the heater from the power outlet, then plug it back in. You will hear a short beep sound.
- Within 1 minute of plugging in the heater, simultaneously press and hold the MODE and C/F buttons on the remote control.
- Continue holding until you hear a long beep sound. This indicates that the pairing process is complete.
Note: If pairing is not completed within 1 minute, unplug and re-plug the heater, then repeat the steps above.

5. Operating Instructions
The Byecold Infrared Ceiling Heater offers both heating and LED lighting functions, controlled by the supplied remote thermostat.

Image 5.1: Diagram of the remote control, detailing buttons for light operation (Brightness+, Light On/Off, Brightness-) and thermostat operation (LOCK, MODE, SET, TIME, FAV, C/F, Power, Temperature Up/Down).
5.1 Heating Function
The infrared technology heats objects and people directly, similar to sunlight, rather than heating the air. This results in a comfortable and consistent warmth.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button on the remote control to turn the heating function on or off.
- Temperature Setting: Use the SET button and the up/down arrows to adjust the desired room temperature. The LCD screen on the remote will display the current room temperature and the set temperature.
- Mode Selection: Use the MODE button to cycle through different operating modes (e.g., comfort, economy, anti-freeze, program).
- Timer Function: The TIME button allows you to set a timer for automatic shutdown or scheduled operation.
- C/F Button: Toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature display.

Image 5.2: Illustration of the far-infrared principle. It warms people and objects directly, providing gentle and pleasant heat without significantly heating the air, similar to how sunlight works.

5.2 LED Lighting Function
The integrated LED light offers adjustable color temperature and brightness.
- Light On/Off: Press the light power button on the remote control to turn the LED light on or off.
- Brightness Adjustment: Use the Brightness+ and Brightness- buttons to increase or decrease the light intensity.
- Color Temperature: The LED light can switch between cool white (6000K) and warm white (3000K). Refer to the remote control for specific buttons to adjust color temperature.

Image 5.4: Visual representation of the LED light options, showing warm light (3000K) and white light (6000K), along with brightness levels from 10% to 100%.
Note: Both heating and lighting functions are exclusively controlled by the supplied remote control and cannot be operated via standard wall switches.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater.
- Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish.
- Ensure the heater is completely dry before reconnecting to power.
- Do not attempt to open or repair the heater yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Byecold heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater does not turn on. | No power supply; remote control not paired; remote control batteries low. | Check power connection; re-pair remote control (Section 4.3); replace remote control batteries. |
| No heat output or insufficient heat. | Thermostat set too low; room size too large for heater wattage; heater in standby mode. | Increase set temperature; ensure heater wattage is appropriate for the room; check remote display for active heating mode. Note that infrared heats objects directly, not air, so ambient air temperature may not rise quickly. |
| LED light not working. | Light function off; remote control issue. | Press the light power button on the remote; check remote batteries. |
| Heater turns off unexpectedly. | Overheating protection activated; timer function set. | Disconnect power, allow to cool, then reconnect. Check if a timer was set for automatic shutdown. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact Byecold customer support.
