Your ZINUS mattress is expertly packaged and compressed into a compact box for easy transport. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Unbox within 72 hours: It is recommended to open the mattress box and unroll the mattress within 72 hours of receipt to ensure optimal expansion.
- Placement: Carefully remove the mattress from its packaging and place it on a flat, sturdy surface such as a platform bed, foundation, or bed frame.
- Unroll: Unroll the compressed mattress. It will begin to expand immediately.
- Decompression: Allow up to 72 hours for the mattress to fully decompress and reach its original shape and firmness. Walking or gently crawling on the mattress can help with the decompression process.

4. Care and Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life of your ZINUS mattress:
- Cleaning: Spot clean only. Do not machine wash or dry clean the mattress cover. Use a mild detergent and a damp cloth for spills or stains.
- Protection: Consider using a mattress protector to guard against spills, stains, and allergens.
- Rotation: Periodically rotate your mattress (head to foot) to promote even wear and extend its lifespan.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your mattress, consider the following:
- Incomplete Expansion: While most mattresses expand within hours, full decompression can take up to 72 hours. Ensure the mattress is in a well-ventilated room and has ample space to expand. If after 72 hours it has not fully expanded, contact customer support.
- Initial Odor: A new mattress may have a slight, harmless odor upon unboxing. This is normal and will dissipate within a few days in a well-ventilated area.
- Firmness Perception: Mattress firmness is subjective. Allow a few nights for your body to adjust to the new mattress.
