Setup Instructions
The Bestway Fast Set Pool features a "Fill & Rise" setup process. Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Site Selection: Choose a completely level surface for the pool. Uneven ground can cause the pool to collapse, leading to water spillage and potential injury. Clear the area of any sharp objects, debris, or rocks.
- Unfold the Pool: Carefully unfold the pool liner on the chosen level surface. Ensure the drain valve is positioned where it will be convenient for draining.
- Inflate the Top Ring: Locate the inflation valve on the top ring of the pool. Use an air pump (not included) to inflate the top ring until it is firm but not over-inflated.
- Begin Filling with Water: Start filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, the inflatable top ring will begin to float and the pool walls will rise.
- Smooth the Liner: While the pool is filling and the water level is still low (approximately 1-2 inches), gently smooth out any wrinkles on the bottom of the pool liner. This ensures a flat and comfortable surface.
- Continue Filling: Continue filling the pool until the water reaches the designated fill line, typically just below the top ring. Do not overfill.

Operating the Filter Pump
The included filter pump is essential for maintaining clean and clear pool water. Refer to the separate filter pump manual for detailed instructions on assembly and operation.
- Connect Hoses: Attach the two hoses from the filter pump to the inlet and outlet ports on the pool wall. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
- Prime the Pump: Before starting the pump, ensure it is filled with water to prevent airlock. Follow the priming instructions in the filter pump manual.
- Power On: Plug the filter pump into a grounded electrical outlet. The pump will begin circulating and filtering the pool water.
- Run Time: Operate the filter pump for several hours each day, depending on pool usage and water conditions, to maintain water clarity.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity of your pool and the quality of its water.
Filter Cartridge Cleaning/Replacement
- Turn off and unplug the filter pump before performing any maintenance.
- Open the filter pump housing and remove the filter cartridge.
- Rinse the cartridge with a garden hose to remove debris. If the cartridge remains dirty or discolored, replace it with a new one.
- Replace the cartridge every 2 weeks or as needed, depending on usage.

Water Chemistry
- Regularly test the pool water using a pool test kit.
- Adjust chemical levels (e.g., chlorine, pH) as recommended by your pool chemical supplier to ensure safe and sanitary swimming conditions.
Draining the Pool
- To drain the pool, simply attach a garden hose to the built-in flow control drain valve located on the outside of the pool wall.
- Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drainage area away from the house or other structures.
- Open the drain valve to allow water to flow out.
Storage
When the swimming season ends, proper storage will extend the life of your pool:
- Drain Completely: Ensure all water is drained from the pool.
- Clean and Dry: Thoroughly clean the pool liner and allow it to dry completely in the sun to prevent mold and mildew.
- Deflate: Deflate the top ring and any other inflatable sections.
- Fold and Store: Fold the pool neatly and store it in a dry, cool place, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
