Safety Instructions

  • Maximum Weight Capacity: The pull-up bar supports up to 160 kg (352 lbs) when installed with the included metal discs and screws. When installed by pressure mounting only (without screws), the maximum weight capacity is 100 kg (220 lbs). Do not exceed these limits.

Setup and Installation

The Wiltec Pull-Up Bar offers two installation methods: pressure mounting (without drilling) and screw mounting (for enhanced stability and higher weight capacity).

Method 1: Pressure Mounting (Max. 100 kg)

  1. Choose Location: Select a sturdy door frame between 62 cm and 85 cm wide. Ensure the frame can withstand significant pressure.
  2. Adjust Length: Twist the bar to extend or retract it until it fits snugly within the door frame.
  3. Tighten: Continue twisting the bar until it is firmly wedged between the door frame walls. The rubber ends should create strong friction.
  4. Test Stability: Before full use, apply your body weight gradually to the bar to ensure it is stable and does not slip.

Method 2: Screw Mounting (Max. 160 kg)

This method provides maximum stability and is recommended for heavier users or more intense workouts. It requires drilling into the door frame.

  1. Choose Location: Select a sturdy door frame between 62 cm and 85 cm wide.
  2. Position Mounting Discs: Hold one metal mounting disc against the inside of the door frame where you intend to install the bar. Mark the screw holes.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit, drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
  4. Attach Discs: Securely fasten the metal mounting discs to the door frame using the provided screws. Repeat for the other side.
  5. Install Bar: Extend the pull-up bar by twisting it until its ends fit into the center of the mounted metal discs.
  6. Tighten: Continue twisting the bar until it is firmly secured within the discs and feels stable.
  7. Test Stability: Before full use, apply your body weight gradually to the bar to ensure it is stable and does not slip.

  • Leg Raises: Hang from the bar with an overhand grip. Keep your legs straight and raise them until they are parallel to the floor, or higher if possible. Lower slowly.
  • Other Exercises: The bar can also be used for inverted rows (if positioned lower), or placed on the floor for push-up variations.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your pull-up bar, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the bar and handles with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all components for wear, cracks, or damage. Pay close attention to the rubber ends and the integrity of the steel bar.
  • Tightness: Periodically re-tighten the bar, especially if using pressure mounting, to ensure it remains securely in place.
  • Storage: If not in use for an extended period, store the bar in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Problem: The pull-up bar slips or feels unstable.
Solution: Ensure the bar is fully extended and tightly twisted into the door frame. If using pressure mounting, verify the door frame is sturdy and the rubber ends have good friction. For screw mounting, check that the metal discs are securely fastened and the bar is properly seated within them. Always re-test stability before use. Consider switching to screw mounting for increased stability.
Problem: The bar does not fit in my door frame.
Solution: The bar is designed for door frames between 62 cm and 85 cm. If your door frame is outside this range, the bar is not compatible. Do not attempt to force it or use it in an unsuitable frame.
Problem: The softgrip handles are worn or damaged.
Solution: Contact Wiltec customer support for replacement parts or advice. Do not use the bar if the grip is compromised, as this could lead to accidents.
