Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your ice machine. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician.
Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully unpack all components. The unit is shipped in two separate boxes: one for the ice maker head and one for the storage bin.
- Inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage to the carrier immediately.
- Place the ice machine in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for air circulation.
- Assemble the ice maker head onto the storage bin. Follow the assembly instructions provided in the separate assembly guide.
- Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the storage bin to ensure the unit is stable and level.
Electrical Connection
The Snooker SK-529 requires a standard US 110V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and dedicated to the ice machine to prevent circuit overload.
Water Supply and Drain Connection
This commercial ice maker requires a continuous water supply and a floor drain connection.
- Connect the water inlet to a potable water supply using the provided in-line water filter.
- Ensure the water pressure is within the recommended range for commercial ice machines.
- Connect the ice water outlet to a suitable floor drain. Proper drainage is essential to prevent water accumulation and potential damage.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the lifespan of your ice machine.
Daily Maintenance
- Use the provided ice scoop to retrieve ice. Do not use hands or other objects that may contaminate the ice.
- Keep the ice bin lid closed when not in use to maintain ice quality and insulation.
Weekly/Bi-Weekly Maintenance
- Clean the exterior surfaces with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
- Inspect the air filters on the condenser unit. Clean them if they appear dusty or blocked to ensure proper airflow.
Monthly/Quarterly Maintenance
- Initiate the automatic cleaning cycle using the CLEAN button on the control panel. Follow the instructions in the full manual for specific cleaning agent usage.
- Clean the ice storage bin thoroughly. Remove all ice, wipe down the interior with a sanitizing solution, and rinse well.
- Check the in-line water filter. Replace it as needed, typically every 3-6 months, depending on water quality and usage.
- Inspect water lines and drain lines for any blockages or leaks.
Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter. For more complex problems, contact a qualified service technician.
| Problem/Error Code | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No Ice Production | No water supply, power issue, clogged filter, high ambient temperature. | Check water connection, ensure power is on, replace water filter, ensure proper ventilation. |
| Low Ice Production | Dirty condenser, low water pressure, incorrect ice thickness setting. | Clean condenser fins, check water supply pressure, adjust ice thickness setting. |
| E01: ICE FULL SWITCH FAULT | Ice bin full sensor malfunction or obstruction. | Check for ice blocking the sensor. Clean sensor if dirty. If issue persists, contact service. |
| E02: ICE HARVEST OVERTIME | Issue with ice harvesting cycle. | Check water flow, evaporator plate condition. Contact service if problem continues. |
