4. Operating Modes
The watch features multiple operating modes accessible via the MODE button. Pressing the MODE button cycles through the available functions.
4.1 Diving Mode
The diving mode is the primary function of this watch, offering three distinct sub-modes:
- Air Mode: For diving with standard air.
- Nitrox Mode: For diving with enriched air nitrox, allowing for adjustable oxygen percentages.
- Free Diving Mode: Optimized for breath-hold diving, tracking depth and time without decompression calculations.
In diving mode, the watch continuously monitors and displays critical data:
- Current Depth and Maximum Depth
- Dive Time
- Water Temperature
- No Decompression Limit (NDL)
- Ascent Rate Indicator
- Safety Stop and Deep Stop Prompts
- Surface Interval and No-Fly Time
- Target Depth and Target Time Alarms
- OTU (Oxygen Toxicity Unit) and CNS (Central Nervous System) warnings for Nitrox diving.
The watch also supports high-altitude diving mode, adjusting calculations for reduced atmospheric pressure.

4.2 Altimeter Mode
Measures current altitude, useful for hiking and mountaineering. Calibration may be required for accuracy.
4.3 Barometer Mode
Displays atmospheric pressure, which can indicate weather changes. Trends in barometric pressure can be observed over time.
4.4 Compass Mode

Includes standard time display, stopwatch, and sunrise/sunset times, which can be useful for planning outdoor activities.
5. Diving Data Analysis and Safety Features
The watch provides comprehensive diving data analysis to enhance safety:
- NDL Remind: Alerts you when approaching the No Decompression Limit.
- Target Depth/Time Alarms: User-settable alarms to notify when a specific depth or dive time is reached.
- Rising Speed Alarm: Warns if your ascent rate is too fast, helping to prevent decompression sickness.
- Safe Stay/Forcible Safe Stay/Deep Stay: Guides you through necessary safety stops during ascent.
- Water Surface Time: Tracks the time spent on the surface between dives, crucial for multi-dive planning.
- No-Fly Time: Calculates the recommended minimum surface interval before flying, based on dive profiles.
- Diving Log: Automatically records and stores detailed information for up to 100 dives, allowing for post-dive review and analysis.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
After each dive or exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch thoroughly with fresh water. Use a soft cloth to dry it. Avoid using chemical cleaners or abrasive materials that could damage the watch case or display.
6.2 Battery Care
The watch is powered by a Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery with a capacity of 320 Milliamp Hours. Charge the watch regularly, especially before extended periods of non-use, to maintain battery health. The average battery life is approximately 3 months in standby mode.
6.3 Storage
Store the watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your watch, consider the following common solutions:
- Display is blank: Ensure the watch is charged. Connect it to the USB charger and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes.
- Incorrect time/date: Access the settings menu to manually adjust the time and date.
- Inaccurate sensor readings (Altimeter/Compass): Calibrate the respective sensors as per the instructions in the watch's menu. Environmental factors can affect accuracy.
- Buttons unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode. If submerged, water pressure can sometimes affect button feel; try operating buttons on the surface.
- Water ingress: If you suspect water has entered the watch, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support. Do not attempt to open the watch.
For persistent issues, refer to the official SUNROAD support channels.
