  2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the inner pot, sealing ring, and lid (excluding the main unit) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts. Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
  3. Lid Assembly: Ensure the sealing ring is correctly installed around the sealing ring rack on the underside of the lid. Check that the float valve and steam release valve are clear and free of debris.
  4. Condensation Collector: Attach the condensation collector to the back of the cooker.
  5. Placement: Place the pressure cooker on a stable, level surface away from heat sources and flammable materials. Ensure adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
  6. Test Run (Water Test): For first-time use, perform a water test to ensure the cooker is functioning correctly.
    • Add 3 cups of water to the inner pot.
    • Place the inner pot into the main unit.
    • Close the lid, ensuring it is locked into place. Turn the steam release handle to the "Sealing" position.
    • Plug in the power cord. Select the "Steam" function and set the time to 2 minutes.
    • Once cooking is complete, allow pressure to release naturally for 5-10 minutes, then carefully turn the steam release handle to "Venting" to release any remaining pressure.

General Cooking Steps

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Place food and liquid into the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  2. Close Lid: Place the lid on the cooker and turn it clockwise until it locks. Ensure the steam release handle is in the "Sealing" position.
  3. Select Function: Plug in the cooker. Select your desired preset function (e.g., "Meat/Stew"). The display will show a default cooking time.
  4. Adjust Settings (Optional):
    • Use the "Pressure Level" button to cycle through Low, Normal, or High pressure if desired.
    • Adjust cooking time using the +/- buttons or by rotating the Start/Cancel knob.
    • To use Delay Start, press the "Delay Start" button and set the desired delay time.
  5. Start Cooking: Press the "Start" button (or rotate the knob to confirm). The cooker will begin preheating. Once pressure is reached, the cooking timer will begin counting down.
  6. Pressure Release: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and switch to "Keep Warm" mode. You can release pressure in two ways:
    • Natural Release: Allow the pressure to dissipate naturally. This is recommended for foamy foods or large cuts of meat. The float valve will drop when pressure is fully released.
    • Quick Release: Carefully turn the steam release handle to the "Venting" position. Steam will rapidly escape. Keep hands and face away from the steam. Only use for foods that cook quickly.
  7. Open Lid: Once the float valve has dropped, turn the lid counter-clockwise and lift it away from you to avoid residual steam.

Care and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and safe operation of your pressure cooker.
