1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the tectake® Foldable Handcart with Roof. This versatile transport solution is designed for ease of use, durability, and convenience, making it ideal for various outdoor activities, gardening, shopping, and more. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient assembly, operation, and maintenance of your handcart. 2. Safety Guidelines
To ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage, please adhere to the following safety instructions:
- Maximum Load Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 80 kg (176 lbs). Overloading can cause damage to the handcart and lead to instability.
- Even Distribution: Distribute the load evenly within the handcart to maintain balance and prevent tipping.
- Secure Cargo: Always secure items inside the handcart to prevent them from shifting or falling out during transport.
- Braking: Always engage the brakes when the handcart is stationary, especially on inclines.
- Supervision: Keep children and pets away from the handcart during assembly and operation. This product is not a toy.
- Terrain: Use the handcart on stable, relatively even surfaces. Avoid steep slopes, rough terrain, or stairs where the handcart could tip or become uncontrollable.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the handcart for any signs of wear, damage, or loose parts. Do not use if damaged.
- Folding Mechanism: Exercise caution when folding and unfolding the handcart to avoid pinching fingers or hands.
- Weather Conditions: While the fabric is water-resistant, avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain or extreme weather conditions to preserve the product's lifespan.

6. Care and Maintenance
Regular care will extend the life of your tectake® Handcart:
- Cleaning: The polyester fabric is water and dirt repellent. Wipe down the fabric and frame with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Allow to air dry completely before folding or storing.
- Storage: Store the handcart in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prevent material degradation. Use the provided carry bag for protection.
- Wheel Maintenance: Periodically check the wheels for debris and ensure they rotate freely. If necessary, clean the axles.
- Frame Inspection: Regularly inspect the steel frame for any signs of rust, bends, or cracks. Check all joints and fasteners to ensure they are secure.
- Fabric Inspection: Check the fabric for tears, fraying, or excessive wear.
7. Troubleshooting Guide
If you encounter issues with your handcart, refer to the following table:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Handcart does not unfold/fold smoothly. | Mechanism is stiff or obstructed. | Ensure no debris is caught in the joints. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts if necessary. Ensure the central pull strap is fully engaged for folding. |
| Wheels are not turning freely. | Debris caught in wheels or axles. | Remove any tangled hair, string, or dirt from around the wheels and axles. |
| Brakes are not engaging/disengaging properly. | Mechanism is stiff or misaligned. | Check for obstructions. Ensure the brake levers/pedal are fully depressed or released. |
| Handcart feels unstable. | Overloaded or unevenly distributed load. | Reduce load weight to within specifications (80 kg). Redistribute items evenly across the cargo area. |
