It allows for submersion up to 164 feet (50 meters) and offers additional protection against dust, scratches, and impacts.

2. Safety Information

  • Waterproof Test: Before first use and after any impact, always perform a waterproof test without your camera inside. Submerge the empty housing in water for at least 30 minutes to check for leaks.
  • Proper Sealing: Ensure the housing's rear door is securely latched and all seals are free from debris, hair, or sand before closing.
  • Temperature Limits: Avoid exposing the housing to extreme temperatures outside the recommended operating range for your GoPro camera.
  • Maintenance: Regularly inspect seals and O-rings for wear or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain waterproof integrity.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Operation

Once your GoPro camera is securely inside the housing, you can operate its functions using the external buttons on the housing. The touchscreen functionality of the camera will not be accessible while inside the waterproof housing.

6.2 Charging While in Use

The Suptig Waterproof Housing features a dedicated power connector that allows you to charge your GoPro camera while it is inside the housing, even underwater. This requires the use of the included waterproof charging cable and a compatible waterproof power bank (sold separately).

  1. Unscrew Cover: Unscrew the waterproof cover on the side of the housing to reveal the charging port.
  2. Connect Cable: Connect the 9-inch waterproof charging cable to the housing's port and to a compatible waterproof power bank. Ensure the connection is tight and secure to maintain waterproof integrity.
  3. Verify Connection: Confirm that your GoPro camera indicates it is receiving power.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the housing thoroughly with fresh water. Use the microfiber cleaning cloth to gently wipe the lens and housing body.
  • Drying: Allow the housing to air dry completely before storing. Avoid direct sunlight or high heat.
  • Seal Inspection: Periodically inspect the rubber seals and O-rings for any signs of damage, cracks, or debris. A small amount of silicone grease can be applied to the O-rings to maintain their flexibility and sealing properties.
  • Storage: Store the housing in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sharp objects.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Water Leakage: If water enters the housing during a test, immediately remove it from water. Check the rear door latch for proper closure. Inspect all seals and O-rings for debris, damage, or improper seating. Clean and re-test.
  • Camera Overheating: GoPro cameras can generate heat, especially during extended recording or when charging. Enclosing the camera in a waterproof housing can exacerbate this. If your camera overheats and shuts down, consider reducing video resolution/frame rate, turning off Wi-Fi/Bluetooth when not needed, or taking shorter recording intervals.
  • Charging Issues: If the camera does not charge or displays a "NOT ENOUGH POWER" message while connected via the waterproof cable, ensure the power source (e.g., power bank) provides sufficient voltage (5V/2A or higher). Verify the waterproof charging cable is fully inserted and undamaged.
