4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your robot vacuum cleaner.
4.1 Emptying the Dustbin
After each cleaning cycle, or when the dustbin is full, remove it from the robot and empty its contents into a waste bin. Clean any debris from the dustbin compartment.
4.2 Cleaning Filters
The filters should be cleaned regularly, ideally after every few uses. Tap the filter gently to remove dust. Replace filters every 3-6 months, or as needed, to maintain suction power.
4.3 Cleaning Side Brushes
Remove the side brushes and clear any tangled hair or debris. If brushes are worn or damaged, replace them with new ones.
4.4 Cleaning Water Tank and Mop Pad
After mopping, empty any remaining water from the tank. Rinse the water tank and allow it to air dry. Remove the mop pad, wash it (hand wash or machine wash according to fabric care instructions), and allow it to dry completely before reattaching or storing.
4.5 Cleaning Sensors and Charging Contacts
Wipe the anti-drop sensors, obstacle sensors, and charging contacts on both the robot and the charging station with a clean, dry cloth. This prevents performance issues due to dust accumulation.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your robot, please refer to the following common problems and solutions before contacting customer support.
- Robot does not turn on: Ensure the battery is charged. Place the robot on the charging station and check if the indicator lights illuminate.
- Robot does not charge: Verify the charging station is plugged in and powered on. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the station.
- Robot gets stuck frequently: Clear the cleaning area of small obstacles, loose cables, and thick rugs. Clean the drive wheels and sensors.
- Poor cleaning performance: Empty the dustbin and clean the filters. Check and clean the side brushes for tangled hair. Ensure the water tank is filled and the mop pad is clean for mopping.
- Robot does not return to charging station: Ensure the charging station is placed in an open area and is powered on. There should be no obstacles blocking its path.
