Introduction

Setup
1. Physical Installation
The RM-3DT is designed for standard 19-inch rack mounting. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Secure the unit firmly using appropriate rack screws.
2. Connections
The RM-3DT offers both Dante network connectivity and traditional balanced analog inputs/outputs.

- Dante Input: Connect an Ethernet cable from your Dante network to the "Dante IN" port. The RM-3DT will appear as a device on your Dante Controller software.
- Analog Input: Use balanced XLR cables to connect your analog audio sources to the "ANALOG INPUT" (L/R) ports.
- Analog Thru Out: The "ANALOG THRU OUT" (L/R) ports provide a pass-through of the analog input signals, allowing you to route them to other equipment.
3. Power Connection
Connect the supplied power cord to the AC IN receptacle on the rear panel of the RM-3DT and then to a standard AC power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
To power on the unit, flip the power switch on the rear panel to the "ON" position. To power off, flip the switch to "OFF".

- PHONES Jack: Connect stereo headphones to this 1/4-inch (6.35mm) jack for private monitoring.
- VOLUME Knob: Adjusts the output level of the built-in speakers and the headphone output.
- INPUT Button: Toggles between Dante and Analog input sources. The selected input will be indicated by an LED.
- OUTPUT Button: Selects whether the monitor outputs the Dante signal, Analog signal, or a mix of both.
3. LED Meter Display
The 26-dot LED meter provides visual feedback on audio levels. You can configure its display mode and brightness using the DIP switches on the rear panel.
- Display Modes:
- VU: Standard Volume Unit meter.
- VU+PEAK: Displays VU level with peak hold.
- VU+PEAK HOLD: Displays VU level with a longer peak hold.
- PEAK+PEAK HOLD: Displays peak level with peak hold.
- Brightness Adjustment: The display brightness can be set to one of four levels via DIP switch settings.
4. Rear Panel DIP Switches
A set of DIP switches on the rear panel allows for advanced configuration of the RM-3DT's behavior. Refer to the labels next to the switches for specific functions.

- DIMMER: Adjusts the brightness of the LED meter.
- METER: Selects the LED meter display mode (VU, VU+PEAK, etc.).
- MUTE: Enables or disables the mute function.
- PEAK VU: Configures specific peak VU settings.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.
