4. Product Overview

Control Panel Features:

• Power Button: Turns the instrument on/off.

5. Setup

5.1 Assembling the X-Keyboard Stand

1. Unfold the X-Keyboard stand.
2. Locate the quick-release fastener.
3. Adjust the stand to one of the 5 available height settings (from 62 cm to 100 cm) by loosening the fastener, setting the desired height, and then tightening it securely. Ensure the stand is stable.
4. Place the FunKey SP-588 Keyboard onto the stand, ensuring it sits firmly on the support arms.

5.2 Assembling the Keyboard Bench

1. Unfold the keyboard bench legs.
2. Secure the legs using the provided screws, ensuring they are tightly fastened for stability.
3. Adjust the bench to one of the 3 available height settings (approx. 45-50 cm) for comfortable playing posture.

5.3 Initial Charging and Power On

1. Connect the power adapter to the USB/DC 5V port on the rear panel of the keyboard (refer to Image 4.2).
2. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet. The battery indicator will show charging status.
3. Once sufficiently charged, press the Power Button to turn on the instrument.

5.4 Connecting Accessories

• Sustain Pedal: Plug the sustain pedal into the dedicated Sustain pedal input on the rear panel.
• Headphones: Connect the headphones to the Headphone output for private practice.
• Music Rest: Insert the music rest into the slots on the top panel of the keyboard.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Playback

1. Turn on the keyboard using the Power Button.
2. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
3. Play the keys. The touch dynamics will respond to your playing strength.

6.2 Selecting Tones and Rhythms

• Use the dedicated Tone selection buttons to browse through the 128 available instrument sounds.
• Use the Rhythm selection buttons to choose from 128 accompaniment rhythms.

6.3 Using Metronome, Transpose, and Split Functions

• Metronome: Press the Metronome button to activate. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the tempo (30-250 bpm).
• Transpose: Press the Transpose button, then use the +/- buttons to shift the pitch of the entire keyboard.
• Split: Press the Split button to divide the keyboard. You can assign different tones to the left and right sections. Refer to the detailed manual for specific key ranges and tone assignments.

6.4 Recording and Playback

• Press the Record button to start recording your performance.
• Press the Play button to listen to your recorded performance.

6.5 Bluetooth Connectivity

The FunKey SP-588 supports both Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio.

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your external device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
2. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "FunKey SP-588".
3. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator on the keyboard will illuminate steadily.
