The DORTALA dryer features a simple control panel with a heat selector and a timer dial to choose your desired drying mode and duration.

Figure 5.1: Control Panel Overview. This image details the dryer's control panel, showing the heat selector (High/Low) and the timer dial with various drying modes: Air Dry, Cool, Warm, and Hot, along with their respective time ranges.
5.1 Loading the Dryer:
- Ensure clothes are properly spun in a washing machine to remove excess water.
- Open the dryer door and load clothes into the stainless steel tumble. Do not overload; the maximum capacity is 10 lbs (wet laundry). Overloading can reduce drying efficiency and cause wrinkles.
- Close the door securely. The dryer has an auto-stop feature if the door is opened during operation.

Figure 5.2: Reverse Tumble Action. This image illustrates the dryer's reverse tumble action, which helps prevent clothes from tangling, shortens drying time, saves energy, and extends the product's life. It also reiterates the maximum capacity of 10 lbs for wet laundry.
5.2 Selecting Drying Mode and Time:
Turn the timer dial to select the desired drying mode and duration based on the fabric type and load size:
- Air Dry (0-80 minutes): Uses cool air to freshen clothes without heat. Suitable for delicate items or items that need airing.
- Cool (0-20 minutes): Cools down the temperature at the end of a heated cycle or for very light drying needs.
- Warm (30-120 minutes): Dries and cools clothes, incorporating an anti-wrinkle function. Ideal for most everyday garments.
- Hot (120-200 minutes): For drying large quantities or bulky items that require more heat and time.
Additionally, select the heat level using the "Heat" switch:
- High Heat: For bulky or large quantities of items.
- Low Heat: For delicate items such as silk, nylon, or linen.
The dryer will begin operation once the timer is set. It will automatically stop when the selected time has elapsed.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your DORTALA dryer.
6.1 Cleaning the Lint Filter:
The dryer features a multiple filtering system to block floating matter and cotton floss. It is crucial to clean the lint filter before or after each load to maintain drying efficiency and prevent fire hazards.

Figure 6.1: Multiple Filtering System. This diagram illustrates the three components of the dryer's filtering system: the exhaust filter (1), lint filter (2), and exhaust vent shroud (3). The lint filter is detachable and can be wiped clean with a soft brush.
- Ensure the dryer is unplugged and cool.
- Open the dryer door.
- Locate the lint filter assembly inside the drum.
- Remove the lint filter. It is designed for easy access.
- Clean accumulated lint from the filter using your hand or a soft brush.
- Reinsert the clean lint filter securely into its position.
6.2 Cleaning the Exterior:
Wipe the exterior of the dryer with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
6.3 Interior Cleaning:
The interior of the appliance and exhaust duct should be cleaned periodically by qualified service personnel to prevent lint buildup.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your dryer, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps. For problems not listed here, contact customer support.
- Dryer does not start:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functional outlet.
- Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.
- Verify the door is fully closed. The dryer will not operate if the door is ajar.

- Ensure the dryer is not overloaded. Reduce load size if necessary.
- Verify the correct drying mode and heat setting are selected for the fabric type and load.
- Check that the exhaust vent is not blocked and has proper airflow.
- Unusual noise or vibration:
- Ensure the dryer is placed on a level and stable surface. Adjust leveling feet if necessary.
- Check for foreign objects inside the drum.
- Ensure the load is balanced and not tangled.
- Dryer stops during cycle:
- The door may have opened. Close it firmly.
- The cycle time may have elapsed.
- The dryer may have overheated. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before restarting.
