4. Maintenance
4.1. Battery Replacement
The timer features a low battery indicator on the LCD screen. When the battery icon appears, it is time to replace the batteries. The valve will automatically close when battery power is critically low to prevent water leakage.
Replace batteries as described in section 2.1. Note that replacing batteries may require you to reset the current time.
4.2. Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter
The timer is equipped with a high-quality water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering and clogging the unit. Periodically inspect and clean this filter to ensure optimal performance.

To clean:
- Disconnect the timer from the faucet.
- Carefully remove the filter screen from the inlet.
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove any accumulated debris.
- Reinsert the clean filter and reattach the timer to the faucet.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your RAINPOINT Sprinkler Timer, consider the following common solutions:
- Timer not turning on/display blank: Check if batteries are installed correctly and have sufficient charge. Replace with new alkaline batteries if necessary.
- No water flow: Ensure the faucet is fully open. Check the water inlet filter for clogs (see section 4.2). Verify that the water pressure is within the operating range (0.5 bar - 8 bar).
- Timer not watering at scheduled times: Double-check your programmed start times, durations, and frequencies (P1, P2, P3). Ensure the dial is set to ON.
- Water leakage: Ensure all connections (faucet to timer, timer to hose) are tight and that rubber washers are properly seated. Do not overtighten.
- Valve not fully opening/closing: This could indicate low battery power. Replace batteries.
