2. Important Safety Instructions

4.1 Vertuo Next Machine Components

5. Initial Setup and First Use
5.1 Vertuo Next Machine Setup
- Unpack: Remove all packaging materials from the machine and frother.
- Position: Place the machine on a clean, stable, and level surface.
- Fill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water.
- Plug In: Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. The machine button will light up.
- Rinse Cycle:
- Place a container (at least 0.5 liters) under the coffee outlet.
- Close the machine head by pushing the lever down and locking it.
- Press the one-touch button three times within two seconds. The button will blink during the rinse cycle.
- The machine will dispense hot water. Repeat this process until the water tank is empty.
- Refill the water tank with fresh water. The machine is now ready for use.
5.2 Aeroccino Milk Frother Setup
- Clean: Wash the inside of the jug and the whisk with warm water and a non-abrasive cloth.
- Position: Place the frother on a flat, stable surface.
- Plug In: Connect the frother base to a grounded electrical outlet.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Brewing Coffee or Espresso
- Power On: Ensure the machine is plugged in and the water tank is filled. Press the one-touch button to turn on the machine. It will warm up (button will blink, then become steady).
- Open Head: Lift the lever to open the machine head.
- Insert Capsule: Place a Nespresso Vertuo capsule into the capsule holder with the dome side down.
- Close Head: Close the machine head and push the lever down to lock it.
- Place Cup: Position a cup of appropriate size on the cup support. The machine automatically adjusts brewing parameters based on the capsule's barcode.
- Start Brewing: Press the one-touch button. The machine will begin brewing.
- Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, the button will become steady. Lift the lever to eject the used capsule into the container.

6.2 Using the Aeroccino Milk Frother
- Select Whisk: Ensure the correct whisk is inserted for your desired froth type. The spring whisk is for frothy milk, the plain whisk for hot milk.
- Add Milk: Pour fresh, cold milk into the frother jug. Do not exceed the "Max Froth" level for frothed milk or "Max Hot Milk" level for hot milk.
- Close Lid: Place the lid on the frother.
- Start Frothing:
- For hot milk froth: Press the control button briefly. The button will illuminate red.
- For cold milk froth: Press and hold the control button for approximately 2 seconds. The button will illuminate blue.
- Serve: The frother will automatically stop when the milk is ready. Pour the frothed milk into your coffee.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
7.1 Daily Cleaning (Vertuo Next Machine)
- Water Tank: Empty and rinse the water tank daily. Refill with fresh water.
- Drip Tray & Cup Support: Remove and rinse the drip tray and cup support with warm water.
- Capsule Container: Empty the used capsule container and rinse it.
- Machine Exterior: Wipe the machine exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
7.2 Daily Cleaning (Aeroccino Milk Frother)
- Jug Interior: Immediately after each use, rinse the inside of the jug with warm water. Use a non-abrasive sponge or cloth to clean. Do not immerse the jug or base in water.
- Whisk: Remove the whisk and rinse it thoroughly.
- Lid: Wash the lid and seal with warm water.
7.3 Descaling (Vertuo Next Machine)
Descaling is essential to maintain the machine's performance and ensure optimal coffee temperature. The machine will indicate when descaling is needed (button will blink orange). Use only Nespresso descaling solution.
- Prepare: Empty the drip tray, cup support, and used capsule container. Fill the water tank with 0.5 liters of water and one sachet of Nespresso descaling solution.
- Enter Descaling Mode: With the machine off, press and hold the button for 7 seconds. The button will blink orange.
- Start Descaling: Press the button once. The machine will start the descaling cycle, which takes approximately 20 minutes.
- Rinse Cycle: After the descaling solution is dispensed, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water. Press the button again to start the rinse cycle.
- Exit Descaling Mode: Once the rinse cycle is complete, the machine will automatically exit descaling mode.
