Setup
1. Setting Time and Date
- Pull the crown (located on the side of the watch case) out to the outermost position.
- Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the correct time. Ensure AM/PM is correctly set if your watch has a 24-hour indicator or date changes at midnight.
- Push the crown back in to the middle position to set the date. Turn the crown until the correct date appears in the date window.
- Once time and date are set, push the crown fully back into the watch case to start the watch movement.

2. Band Adjustment
The Timex Easy Reader features an expansion band designed to fit a range of wrist sizes (6 to 7.5 inches). No tools are typically required for initial fitting as the band stretches to accommodate your wrist. If further adjustment (e.g., link removal) is needed, it is recommended to consult a professional jeweler.

Operating Instructions
1. Using the INDIGLO Night-Light
To activate the INDIGLO night-light, simply press and hold the crown (the button on the side of the watch case). The entire dial will illuminate, allowing you to read the time in the dark. Release the crown to turn off the light.

2. Water Resistance
Your Timex Easy Reader watch is water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it is suitable for splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as hand washing. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, or diving. Do not press any buttons or operate the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.

Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
The watch is powered by one Lithium Metal battery (included). The battery life is approximately up to 10 years. When the watch stops running or the INDIGLO light dims significantly, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

2. Cleaning
To clean your watch, wipe the case and band with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish. For the expansion band, ensure no debris is caught between the links.
Troubleshooting
- Watch not running: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
- INDIGLO not working: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may be low or depleted.
- Date not changing: Ensure the time is set correctly for AM/PM. The date typically changes around midnight.
