1. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Device

The WISCENT Portable CD Player can be powered by either AC power or batteries.

AC Power:

1. Ensure the device is turned off.
2. Connect the AC power cord to the AC input jack on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard AC 120V / 60Hz wall outlet.

Battery Power:

1. Ensure the device is turned off and disconnected from AC power.
2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
3. Insert 4 x UM2-C 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Initial Power On

Press the POWER button to turn on the device. The display will illuminate.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Mode Selection

Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to cycle through the available modes: CD, FM Radio, Bluetooth, USB, AUX-IN.

4.2 CD Playback

1. Select CD mode using the FUNCTION button.
2. Open the CD compartment cover by gently lifting it.
3. Place a CD (CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
4. Close the CD compartment cover. The device will begin reading the disc and playback will start automatically.
5. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP FORWARD (Next Track), and SKIP BACKWARD (Previous Track) buttons to control playback.
6. Press the REPEAT button to cycle through repeat modes (Repeat 1, Repeat All).

4.3 FM Radio Operation

1. Select FM Radio mode using the FUNCTION button.
2. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
3. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button to initiate an automatic station scan. The radio will scan and save up to 20 available stations.
4. Use the SKIP FORWARD and SKIP BACKWARD buttons to navigate through saved presets.

4.4 Bluetooth Connectivity

1. Select Bluetooth mode using the FUNCTION button. The display will show "BT" or a similar indicator, and the device will enter pairing mode.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "WISCENT WTB-791" (or similar name) from the list of devices to pair.
4. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the CD player.

4.5 USB Playback

1. Select USB mode using the FUNCTION button.
2. Insert a USB flash drive (up to 32GB) containing MP3 or WMA audio files into the USB port.
3. The device will automatically detect and begin playing audio files from the USB drive.
4. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons to control playback.

4.6 AUX-IN Connection

1. Select AUX-IN mode using the FUNCTION button.
2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN port on the front of the CD player.
3. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external audio device.
4. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be routed through the CD player's speakers.

4.7 Volume and EQ Control

• Rotate the VOLUME knob to adjust the audio level.
• Press the EQ button (if available, or refer to remote control) to cycle through equalizer presets: ROCK, POP, FLAT, CLASS, JAZZ.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Device

• Always unplug the device from the power source before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
• For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaning kit. Do not touch the lens directly.

5.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if storing for a long time to prevent leakage.
