1. Introduction
The Silvergear 2-in-1 Pulse Oximeter Model 2238 is a compact and convenient device designed for non-invasive spot-checking of arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (PRbpm). It is suitable for use by adults and children in home environments, medical facilities, and during sports activities.
Monitoring blood oxygen levels is crucial for individuals with respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD, heart conditions, and athletes. A normal blood oxygen saturation typically ranges between 95-100%. Slight variations are normal, but consistent or prolonged low readings should be discussed with a healthcare professional. This device also measures your heart rate.
For athletes training at high altitudes, such as during skiing, mountaineering, or flying, measuring oxygen saturation can be beneficial. In high-altitude environments, it is normal for blood oxygen saturation to be lower than usual. During physical exertion, oxygen levels may decrease slightly. This handy and compact oximeter allows for easy measurement and monitoring.
