3. Setup and Installation

3.2 Wall Mounting Steps

Follow these steps to securely mount your key box:

1. Mark Screw Location Holes: Place the key box on the desired wall surface and use a pencil to mark the four screw holes.
2. Drill Holes: Use a drill to create four holes at the marked locations. Ensure the drill bit size is appropriate for the expansion plugs.
3. Insert Expansion Plugs: Gently tap the plastic expansion plugs into the drilled holes until they are flush with the wall surface.
4. Install the Box: Align the key box with the holes, insert the screws, and tighten them securely to fix the box to the wall.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Opening the Key Box (Default Code)

The key box comes with a default combination of 0-0-0-0. To open:

1. Dial the default code (0-0-0-0) on the combination wheels.
2. Pull down the cover to open the key box.

4.2 Resetting Your Password

You can set your own personalized 4-digit combination. There are 10,000 unique combinations available.

1. Step 1: Dial the current code (default 0-0-0-0 or your last set code) to open the key box.
2. Step 2: Inside the key box, locate the RESET lever. Push the RESET lever from position A to position B.
3. Step 3: With the lever in position B, rotate the dials to set your new desired 4-digit password.
4. Step 4: Push the RESET lever back to position A. Your new password is now set.

4.3 Important Tips for Password Management

• Record Your Password: Always make sure to record your password by taking a photo or writing it down after each password reset. If you forget the code, there is no way to recover it.
• Avoid Simple Combinations: It is NOT recommended to use simple combinations such as "0-0-0-0", as these can be easily cracked.

• Regular Dial Rotation: It is recommended to rotate the combination dials weekly. This helps to keep the internal mechanisms moving freely and prevents them from seizing up, especially in outdoor environments.

• Lubrication (if needed): If the dials become stiff over time, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the moving parts, but this is generally not required for normal operation.
