Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the remote control's performance degrades or it stops responding, it is likely time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the "Setup" section.

Cleaning the Remote

To clean the remote control, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the remote's finish or internal components.

Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your remote control, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check Batteries: Remove the existing batteries and reinsert new alkaline batteries. Ensure correct polarity.
  2. Remote Reset and Re-pairing: If the remote is unresponsive or not pairing correctly, perform the full reset and re-pairing procedure as detailed in the "Pairing the Remote Control" section under "Setup". This involves holding specific buttons, removing/reinserting batteries, and power cycling the TV.
  3. Proximity: Ensure the remote is within 10 feet of your TV device during pairing and normal operation.
  4. Obstructions: Make sure there are no objects blocking the line of sight between the remote and the TV's infrared receiver (if applicable, though this is a voice remote, IR might still be used for some functions).
  5. TV Model Compatibility: Verify that your Insignia TV model is listed in the "Compatible Insignia TV Models" section. If your model is not listed, the remote may not be fully compatible.

If the issue persists after following these steps, please contact customer support for further assistance.
