The Black Diamond Onsight 375 Headlamp is engineered for climbers and outdoor enthusiasts requiring reliable illumination after sunset. Setup

Battery Installation

The Onsight 375 Headlamp is Dual-Fuel compatible, meaning it can be powered by either the rechargeable Black Diamond BD 1800 Li-ion battery pack or three standard AAA batteries.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the rear of the headlamp unit.
2. Open the battery compartment latch.
3. Insert either the BD 1800 Li-ion battery pack or three fresh AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Securely close the battery compartment latch.

Headband Adjustment

Adjust the elastic headband to ensure a snug yet comfortable fit around your head. The headband is made from recycled Repreve fiber for comfort against the skin.

Power On/Off

• Press the main button once to turn the headlamp on.
• Press and hold the main button to turn the headlamp off.

Lighting Modes

The headlamp features two primary lighting modes:

• Climbing Mode: Optimized for close-range illumination, providing 300 lumens of wide, evenly dispersed light. This mode minimizes glare, ideal for identifying holds or navigating trails directly in front of you.
• Route-Finder Mode: Adds a powerful, narrow, long-distance beam, increasing the total maximum output to 375 lumens. This mode is designed for spotting distant anchors or searching for trails.

PowerTap Technology

Dual PowerTap technology allows for quick transitions between Climbing and Route-Finder Modes:

• Simply touch either the right or left side of the front housing to toggle between the two main modes.

Digital Lock Mode

To prevent accidental activation and conserve battery during transport or storage, the headlamp includes a digital lock mode:

• To engage lock mode: While the headlamp is off, press and hold the main button for several seconds until the light blinks, indicating it is locked.
• To disengage lock mode: Press and hold the main button again until the light blinks and then turns on, indicating it is unlocked.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Wipe the headlamp body with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the housing or lens.
• The elastic headband can be hand-washed with mild soap and water, then air-dried.

Storage

• For long-term storage, remove the AAA batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion. If using the BD 1800 Li-ion battery, ensure it is charged to approximately 50% before storage.
• Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Engage the digital lock mode before storing to prevent accidental activation.

Troubleshooting

• Headlamp does not turn on:
  • Check if batteries are correctly installed and charged.
  • Ensure the headlamp is not in digital lock mode. Disengage if necessary.
• Light is dim or flickers:
  • Batteries may be low. Replace AAA batteries or recharge the BD 1800 Li-ion battery.
  • Ensure battery contacts are clean and free of corrosion.
• Water ingress (unlikely due to IP67 rating):
  • If water is observed inside the unit, immediately remove batteries and allow the unit to dry completely. Contact customer support if issues persist.
