Product Overview
The Black Diamond Spot R is a rechargeable LED headlamp designed for various activities. It features multiple brightness modes, a strobe function, and an SOS mode.
Battery - Rechargeable Lithium-ion
Charging:
- Charge the battery completely before initial use.
- The battery does not need to be fully discharged before recharging.
- Charging stops automatically when the battery is fully charged.
Battery Life:
Battery life varies depending on recovery time (when the lamp is off), temperature, and settings used. A full charge is required for maximum burn time.
Dispose of the device/batteries in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.
*ANSI FL-1 Standard: Runtime to 10% of initial output.
**Reserve: Additional time the lamp will produce usable light for low intensity activities (measured to 0.25 Lux @ 4 meters).
Usage / Modes
The headlamp offers several modes, including:
- Low: 6 lumens, 12m beam distance, 225 hours burn time, 0 hours reserve.
- Medium: 200 lumens, 60m beam distance, 8 hours burn time, 0.5 hours reserve.
- Max: 400 lumens, 100m beam distance, 4 hours burn time, 1 hour reserve.
- Strobe: Flashing light.
- SOS: Flashing light for emergencies.

Troubleshooting
If the headlamp does not work:
- Charge the batteries completely.
- Check that the USB cord is properly inserted.

Warnings
- A responsible adult must supervise use by children under the age of 12.
- Inspect your headlamp for proper operation prior to using and, for critical situations, carry a second light and sufficient spare batteries.
- Do not stare directly into the beam or shine it directly into others’ eyes. Intense light can damage your eyes or the eyes of those around you.
Black Diamond Equipment is not responsible for the consequences, whether direct, indirect or accidental, or for any other type of damage arising or resulting from the use of its products.
Limited Warranty
Black Diamond warrants its lighting products for three years from the purchase date to the original retail buyer, ensuring they are free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper use, or improper maintenance. If a defect is discovered, the product should be returned to the place of purchase. If not possible, return it to Black Diamond. The product will be repaired or replaced at Black Diamond's discretion. This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Black Diamond shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or other types of damages arising out of, or resulting from, the use of the product, except as expressly stated in this warranty. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Proof of purchase may be required for all warranty claims.
