  • Connect the charging cable to a USB power adapter (not included) and a power outlet.

5.2 Attaching Contact Points and Fitting the Collar

Select the appropriate contact points (short or long) based on your dog's coat length. For dogs with thicker coats, longer contact points may be necessary to ensure proper contact with the skin. You can also use silicone conductive caps for added comfort.

  • Screw the chosen contact points onto the receiver.
  • Thread the nylon strap through the receiver.
  • Place the collar on your dog's neck, ensuring the contact points touch the skin. The collar should be snug but not too tight; you should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck.
  • The receiver should be positioned centrally under your dog's chin or on the side of the neck.

6.2 Training Modes (Beep, Vibration, Static Shock)

The collar offers three distinct training modes:

  • Beep Mode: Provides an audible warning. Often used as a preliminary correction before vibration or shock.
  • Vibration Mode: Delivers a non-harmful vibration. Adjustable intensity allows for tailored correction.
  • Static Shock Mode: Provides a static electrical stimulus. Use with caution and at the lowest effective level. This mode can be disabled by using silicone caps or by setting the level to 0.

6.3 Automatic Bark Correction Mode

The collar can operate in an automatic bark correction mode, responding to your dog's barking without remote input. This mode typically uses a progressive sequence of corrections.

  • Sensitivity Adjustment: The collar features adjustable sensitivity levels (e.g., 3 sensitivities for all dogs) to detect barking. Level 0 is often a test setting. Adjust based on your dog's barking habits and environment to avoid over-correction or under-correction.
  • Progressive Correction: The system often employs a sequence, starting with a beep, then escalating to vibration, and finally static shock if barking persists. The intensity of each correction may increase progressively.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the collar strap and receiver with a damp cloth. Ensure contact points are free of dirt and debris.
  • Battery Care: Charge the devices fully when the battery is low. For long-term storage, charge the battery to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every few months to prevent deep discharge.
  • Contact Point Inspection: Periodically check the contact points for wear and tear. Replace if damaged.
  • Strap Inspection: Check the nylon strap for fraying or damage. Replace if necessary to ensure secure fit.
  • Storage: Store the collar and remote in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures.
