3. Setup

3.1 Package Contents

3.2 Hardware Connection

1. Placement: Place the OBSBOT Tiny on top of your monitor, laptop screen, or mount it on a tripod using the standard 1/4-inch screw thread at its base. The magnetic mount provides a stable attachment to the top of most displays.
2. Connect to Computer: Connect the USB-C end of the provided cable to the OBSBOT Tiny and the USB-A end to an available USB port on your computer. If your computer only has USB-C ports, use the included USB-A to USB-C adapter.
3. Power On: The webcam will power on automatically once connected. The indicator light will illuminate.

3.3 Software Installation (Optional but Recommended)

While the OBSBOT Tiny functions as a standard webcam without additional software, installing the OBSBOT TinyCam software unlocks advanced features and customization options.

2. Install Software: Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 AI Tracking and Auto-Frame

The OBSBOT Tiny automatically tracks your movement to keep you centered in the frame.

• Automatic Tracking: Once powered on, the camera will attempt to identify and track the primary subject in its field of view.
• Manual Selection: If multiple people are present or tracking is not initiated, you can use gesture control (see 4.2) or the TinyCam software to select a specific tracking target.

4.2 Gesture Control

The OBSBOT Tiny supports intuitive gesture controls for common functions. Ensure your hand is clearly visible to the camera.

• Select/Cancel Tracking Target: Make an open palm gesture towards the camera. The camera will lock onto or release the current tracking target.
• Zoom In/Out: Form an "L" shape with your thumb and index finger and present it to the camera. Repeat the gesture to toggle between 1x and 2x zoom. More granular zoom control is available via the TinyCam software.

4.3 AI Auto-Exposure & Smart White Balance

The webcam automatically adjusts exposure and white balance to ensure the subject is well-lit and colors are accurate, even in varying lighting conditions.

4.4 Privacy Mode (2-Axis Gimbal)

The 2-axis gimbal allows the camera to physically tilt downwards, effectively blocking the lens and ensuring privacy when not in use. This can be activated manually or through the TinyCam software.
