- Ventilation: Do not block the ventilation openings. Ensure adequate airflow around the cooler to prevent overheating.
- Liquid Contact: Do not immerse the cooler in water or expose it to excessive moisture. Clean with a damp cloth only.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the cooler to direct sunlight or extreme heat sources.
- Children: Keep the cooler out of reach of children.
- Repairs: Do not attempt to repair the cooler yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.

4.3 Placement
Place the cooler on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of clear space around all ventilation openings to allow for proper airflow and efficient cooling.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering the Cooler
The Mobicool MQ40A offers dual power options:
- AC Power (Household Outlet): Connect the AC power cable to the cooler's AC input port, then plug the other end into a standard household electrical outlet (100-240V).
- DC Power (Vehicle 12V Outlet): Connect the DC 12V power cable to the cooler's DC input port, then plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.
Note: Do not connect both AC and DC power simultaneously.
5.2 Cooling Operation
Once powered, the cooler will automatically begin to cool. The thermoelectric system will cool the interior to approximately 30°F (16°C) below the ambient temperature. For optimal performance:
- Pre-chill items before placing them in the cooler, especially if the ambient temperature is high.
- Minimize opening the lid to maintain internal temperature.
- Ensure the lid is securely closed after each use. The split lid design helps reduce cold air loss.

5.3 Capacity and Organization
The MQ40A has a 39-liter (40-quart) volume capacity, capable of holding approximately 53 standard cans. The interior may include removable dividers for better organization of contents.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the cooler's performance and hygiene:
- Disconnect the cooler from the power source before cleaning.
- Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the cooler is completely dry before reconnecting to power.
6.2 Ventilation Grilles
Periodically check and clean the ventilation grilles to prevent dust and debris buildup, which can impede airflow and reduce cooling efficiency.
6.3 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, ensure the cooler is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cooler not cooling | No power supply; Blocked ventilation; Ambient temperature too high; Lid not closed properly. | Check power connection; Clear ventilation openings; Move cooler to a cooler environment; Ensure lid is securely latched. |
| Excessive noise from fan | Fan obstructed; Cooler on uneven surface. | Check for obstructions in fan area; Place cooler on a flat, stable surface. |
| Condensation inside cooler | Normal operation in humid conditions; Frequent lid opening. | Wipe dry periodically; Minimize lid openings. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
