7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your kettle.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
- Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
- Boil the mixture.
- Let it soak for 20-30 minutes, then discard the solution.
- Rinse the interior thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- For stubborn deposits, you can repeat the process or use a specialized descaling solution.
- Filter Cleaning: The mesh filter in the spout can be removed for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and gently brush away any deposits. Reattach it securely after cleaning.
- Storage: When not in use, store the kettle in a clean, dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the base for neat storage.

- Check that the kettle is correctly placed on the power base.

- Water has a strange taste or odor:
- Perform the initial cleaning steps (boiling and discarding water 2-3 times).
