1. Introduction

The FOXWELL NT614 Elite is an advanced OBD2 diagnostic scanner designed for comprehensive vehicle system analysis and maintenance. This device provides access to engine, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), and Transmission diagnostics, in addition to five key service reset functions. 3. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your NT614 Elite scanner for use:

  1. Connect to Vehicle: Locate your vehicle's OBDII port, typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Plug the diagnostic cable (16-pin) from the NT614 Elite into the vehicle's OBDII port.
  2. Power On Vehicle: Turn the vehicle's ignition to the 'ON' position without starting the engine. This provides power to the OBDII port and the scanner.
  3. Scanner Initialization: The NT614 Elite will power on automatically. Follow the on-screen prompts to begin diagnosis or select desired functions.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 4-System Diagnosis (Engine, ABS, SRS, Transmission)

The NT614 Elite can diagnose four core vehicle systems:

  • Engine System: Reads and clears fault codes, displays real-time operating status, and turns off warning lights to ensure proper engine function.
  • ABS System: Diagnoses issues causing ABS warning lights, reads and clears ABS error codes, and helps prevent wheel locking and skidding.
  • SRS System: Accesses electronic parameters in the airbag system to diagnose malfunctions and locate faulty components, ensuring safety system functionality.
  • Transmission System: Reads and clears diagnostic codes from the transmission system, and displays live data to assess speed and load matching with transmission output.

4.2 5 Service Reset Functions

The NT614 Elite provides five essential maintenance reset functions:

  • ABS Bleeding: Safely removes air from the brake system after component replacement, restoring firm brake pedal feel.
  • EPB Reset: Allows service and maintenance of electronic parking brake systems, including deactivation, activation, bleeding brake fluid, and setting brakes after pad replacement.
  • Oil Reset: Resets the oil life reminder and switches off the oil light after an oil change, ensuring accurate engine oil life calculation.
  • SAS Calibration: Resets the steering angle sensor to its relative zero position, helping to clear incorrect memory and calibrate the sensor.
  • Throttle Reset: Performs throttle body relearn (Idle Relearn) to achieve smooth idle speed after replacing electronic throttle body, disconnecting battery, or clearing a check engine light.

4.4 Live Data Graphing
