Setup

Powering the Device:

Your AFMAT Electric 3 Hole Punch can be powered by either the included AC adapter or 6 AA batteries (not included).

AC Adapter Connection:

  1. Insert the small end of the AC adapter into the AC adapter port on the back of the hole punch.
  2. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. The device is now ready for use.

Battery Installation (6 AA batteries, not included):

  1. Turn the hole punch upside down.
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover.
  3. Slide the cover open.
  4. Insert 6 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  5. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
  6. The device is now ready for portable use.

Operating Instructions

Punching Paper:

The electric hole punch is designed for quick and efficient punching of up to 20 sheets of standard paper at a time.

  1. Prepare Paper: Gather up to 20 sheets of paper. Tap the edges on a flat surface to ensure they are neatly aligned.
  2. Adjust Paper Guide: Slide the adjustable paper guide to the desired position for your paper size. This ensures consistent hole placement.

  4. Insert Paper: Insert the aligned paper into the paper entry slot until it touches the paper guide.
  5. Punch: Press the punching button firmly. The device will automatically punch three holes.

  7. Remove Paper: Once punching is complete, remove the punched paper.

For optimal performance, do not exceed the 20-sheet capacity. Overloading may cause jams or damage to the punching mechanism.

Maintenance

Emptying the Chip Tray:

The chip tray collects the paper confetti from punching. It should be emptied regularly to prevent jams and ensure smooth operation.

  1. Turn the hole punch upside down.
  2. Locate the chip tray on the bottom of the device.
  3. Slide the chip tray open or remove it, depending on the design.
  4. Empty the paper chips into a waste bin.
  5. Reinsert and secure the chip tray.

Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting
