4. Operating Instructions
4.1 First Boot and BIOS Setup
- After assembling all components, connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
- Power on your system. Press the DEL key (or F2 depending on BIOS version) repeatedly during startup to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility.
- In the BIOS, you can configure boot order, system time, and other hardware settings. Save changes and exit to proceed with operating system installation.
4.2 Driver Installation
After installing your operating system, install the necessary drivers for the motherboard's components (chipset, audio, LAN, etc.). These drivers are typically provided on a CD/DVD included with the motherboard or can be downloaded from the official Biostar website.
4.3 System Operation
Once drivers are installed, your system is ready for normal operation. Ensure proper ventilation for your PC case to maintain optimal operating temperatures.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and stable performance of your motherboard and PC system.
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean dust from inside your PC case, especially from fans and heatsinks, using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- BIOS Updates: Check the Biostar website for BIOS updates. BIOS updates can improve compatibility, stability, and performance. Follow the update instructions carefully to avoid damaging the motherboard.
- Driver Updates: Keep your drivers updated to the latest versions from the Biostar website or component manufacturers' websites.
- CMOS Battery: The motherboard uses a CR2032 coin cell battery for the CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) to retain BIOS settings and system time. If your system consistently loses time or BIOS settings, the battery may need replacement.
6. Troubleshooting
