This diagram illustrates the various connection ports located on the bottom of the inverter, including AC input/output, battery input, PV input, and communication ports. Proper spacing for natural convection cooling is also indicated.

4.2 Wiring Connections

Before making any connections, ensure the inverter's main power switch is in the OFF position and all external power sources are disconnected. Remove the terminal protection cover by unscrewing the screws on both sides of the inverter.

  • Battery Connection: Connect the provided battery cables. The red cable corresponds to the positive (+) terminal, and the black cable corresponds to the negative (-) terminal. Use the supplied M8 screws with gaskets to firmly secure the 8mm O-ring terminals to the inverter's battery input ports. Ensure connections are tight and correct polarity is observed.
  • AC Input/Output: Connect your AC mains input and AC load output to the designated AC IN and AC OUT ports.
  • PV Input: Connect your solar panel array to the PV input ports. The inverter supports 120-500V DC PV input.
  • Grounding: Connect the grounding screw hole to a reliable earth ground.

This video provides a comprehensive guide on the installation and initial setup of the ECO-WORTHY Solar Hybrid Inverter, including detailed steps for battery, AC, and PV wiring connections.

4.3 Initial Power-On

After all connections are securely made and verified, replace the terminal protection cover. Then, turn the boat-shaped switch on the left side of the machine to the ON position. Observe the indicator lights on the display panel:

  • AC/INV (Yellow Light): Always on indicates mains output mode. Flashing indicates inverter output mode.
  • CHARGE (Green Light): Always on indicates charging is complete. Flashing indicates the battery is charging.
  • FAULT (Red Light): Always on indicates a fault condition. Refer to the Troubleshooting section.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Panel Overview

The operation and display panel features an LCD screen, three indicator lights (AC/INV, CHARGE, FAULT), and four operation buttons: SET, UP, DOWN, and ENT (Enter).

This image provides a detailed view of the inverter's display panel, showing various real-time data points and the layout of the control buttons for easy monitoring and parameter adjustment.

5.2 Viewing Device Data

On the LCD main screen, you can view real-time data of the solar hybrid inverter by pressing the UP and DOWN keys to cycle through different display pages. This includes input voltage, output voltage, load percentage, battery status, and more.

5.3 Setting Parameters

To set parameters for the Solar Hybrid Inverter:

  1. Press the SET button to enter the setting interface.
  2. The parameter number (e.g., '00') will flash. Use the UP and DOWN keys to select the desired parameter item code.
  3. Press the ENT (Enter) button to enter the parameter editing state. The parameter value will flash.
  4. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the parameter value. For Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, you need to adjust the 8th page of the settings to 'L16'.
  5. Finally, press the ENT button again to confirm the parameter change and return to the parameter selection state.

5.4 Charging Modes

The inverter offers four charging modes to optimize battery backup capacity:

  • Solar Only: Solar energy is the sole charging source.
  • Solar Priority: Solar energy is the primary charging source; utility power charges only when solar is unavailable.
  • Mains Priority: Utility power is the primary charging source; solar energy charges only when utility power is unavailable.
  • Hybrid Charge: Both solar energy and utility power charge the battery simultaneously.
