Setup Guide
1. Powering the Outdoor Sensor
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless outdoor sensor.
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included), observing polarity (+/-).
- Select a channel (1, 2, or 3) using the small switch inside the battery compartment. This is important if you plan to use multiple sensors.
- Close the battery compartment. The sensor's indicator light will flash, indicating it is transmitting.
2. Powering the Main Unit
- Connect the included AC power adapter to the DC 5V port on the back of the main unit.
- Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The display will light up.
- Optional: For backup power, insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Note that the backlight will only stay on continuously when powered by the AC adapter.
3. Pairing the Sensor with the Main Unit
The main unit will automatically search for the outdoor sensor. Ensure both units are within range (up to 200ft/60m without obstructions). The outdoor temperature and humidity will appear on the main unit's display once paired.
If pairing fails (display shows '- -'), press and hold the "CH" button on the main unit for 3 seconds to manually initiate a search for the sensor. Ensure the sensor's channel matches the selected channel on the main unit.

This image illustrates the wireless transmission range of the Geevon Weather Station, showing the main unit indoors and the outdoor sensor placed near a window, indicating its ability to transmit data over a distance.
4. Initial Time and Date Setting
This weather station does not have a radio-controlled clock. You will need to set the time and date manually upon first use or after a power reset.
- Press and hold the "MODE" button for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode.
- Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the flashing value.
- Press "MODE" to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day).
- Press "MODE" repeatedly until all settings are confirmed and you exit the setting mode.
Operating Instructions
Display Brightness Adjustment
When powered by the AC adapter, press the "Snooze/Light" bar on top of the unit to adjust the backlight brightness (High, Medium, Low, Off). If running on batteries, the backlight will turn off after 10 seconds to conserve power.
Weather Forecast

This image displays the various weather forecast icons used by the Geevon Weather Station, including Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, and Rainy, indicating the predicted weather conditions.
The weather station predicts weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours based on barometric pressure changes. The forecast icons include Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, and Rainy. Note that the forecast is an estimation and may not always reflect current conditions.
Alarm Clock and Snooze Function

This image shows the Geevon Weather Station on a bedside table next to a sleeping person, highlighting its alarm clock and snooze capabilities for managing wake-up times.
- Setting Alarm: Press and hold the "ALARM" button to enter alarm setting mode. Use "UP" or "DOWN" to adjust hour and minute, press "ALARM" to confirm.
- Activating/Deactivating Alarm: Press "ALARM" briefly to turn the alarm on or off. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
- Snooze: When the alarm sounds, press the "Snooze/Light" bar to activate the 5-minute snooze function.
Temperature Alerts
You can set customizable high/low temperature alerts for indoor and outdoor readings.
- Press and hold the "ALERT" button to enter alert setting mode.
- Use "UP" or "DOWN" to adjust the high/low temperature thresholds.
- Press "ALERT" to confirm and move to the next alert setting.
- An alert icon will appear when an alert is active. An audible alarm will sound if the temperature goes outside the set range.

This image shows the weather station displaying an "Ice Alert" icon, indicating that the outdoor temperature has dropped to a level where ice formation is possible, providing a visual warning.
MAX/MIN Records
The unit records the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values for both indoor and outdoor readings since the last reset.
- Press the "MAX/MIN" button briefly to view maximum values.
- Press "MAX/MIN" again to view minimum values.
- Press and hold "MAX/MIN" to clear the recorded values.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the display and unit surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity.
- Sensor Placement: For accurate readings and optimal transmission, place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and electronic interference. Ideally, place it 1.2 to 2.4 meters above the ground.

This diagram illustrates optimal placement for the outdoor sensor: away from heat sources, placed vertically, 1.2-2.4 meters above ground with permanent shade, and 1.5-2 meters away from electronic devices to ensure accurate data and reliable transmission.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit. | No power; batteries dead or incorrectly inserted; AC adapter not connected. | Check AC adapter connection. Replace batteries, ensuring correct polarity. |
| Outdoor reading shows '- -'. | Sensor not paired; sensor out of range; sensor batteries dead; interference. |
|
| Inaccurate temperature/humidity readings. | Sensor exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or moisture. | Relocate the outdoor sensor to a shaded, dry area, away from direct heat or cold sources. Allow time for readings to stabilize. |
| Weather forecast is incorrect. | Forecast is an estimation based on barometric pressure trends, not real-time. | The forecast is for the next 12-24 hours and is based on atmospheric pressure changes. It may not always match current local conditions perfectly. |
| Display is dim. | Unit is running on batteries only. | Connect the AC power adapter for continuous bright backlight. When on batteries, the backlight turns off after 10 seconds to save power. |
