5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the K19 detector. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the device's charging port and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. A full charge typically takes a few hours.

5.2 Attaching Accessories

  • RF Antenna: Screw the antenna into the designated antenna port on the top of the main unit for wireless signal detection.
  • GS Probe: Insert the GS probe into its dedicated port for magnetic field detection.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power button to turn the device on or off. The display will illuminate upon activation.

6.2 Mode Selection

The K19 detector features multiple detection modes. Press the 'MODE' button to cycle through the available modes:

  • Wireless Signal Detection (RF): Detects radio frequency signals from wireless cameras, bugs, and GPS trackers.
  • Magnetic Field Detection (GS): Identifies strong magnetic fields, typically associated with magnetic GPS trackers.
  • Infrared (IR) Detection: Locates hidden cameras by detecting their lenses or IR emitters.

6.3 Sensitivity Adjustment

Use the sensitivity adjustment buttons (usually '+' and '-') to increase or decrease the detection range and precision. Higher sensitivity allows for detection of weaker signals or from a greater distance, but may also increase false positives. Lower sensitivity reduces false positives but requires closer proximity to the target device.

6.4 Wireless Signal Detection (RF Mode)

  1. Ensure the RF antenna is attached.
  2. Select the Wireless Signal Detection mode.
  3. Adjust sensitivity to a moderate level.
  4. Slowly scan the area, moving the detector around walls, furniture, and objects.
  5. An increasing signal strength indicator and audible alerts (if enabled) indicate the presence of a wireless signal. Reduce sensitivity as you get closer to pinpoint the source.

6.5 Magnetic Field Detection (GS Mode)

  1. Ensure the GS probe is attached.
  2. Select the Magnetic Field Detection mode.
  3. Use the flexible GS probe to scan surfaces, especially under vehicles, metallic objects, and furniture.
  4. The device will alert when a strong magnetic field is detected, indicating a potential magnetic GPS tracker or similar device.

6.6 Infrared (IR) Detection (Camera Mode)

  1. Select the IR Detection mode.
  2. Look through the red viewing window on the detector while scanning the area with the IR laser array.
  3. Hidden camera lenses will appear as bright red dots when illuminated by the IR lasers.
  4. The device may also have an automatic IR detection feature for devices emitting infrared light (e.g., night vision cameras).

6.7 Flashlight Function

Press the 'TORCH' or 'LED' button to activate the built-in flashlight. This is useful for illuminating dark corners, under furniture, or inside crevices where hidden devices might be concealed.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the detector in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Recharge it regularly, even if not in active use.
  • Handle with Care: Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device does not power on: Ensure the device is fully charged. If the issue persists, contact support.
  • Frequent false alarms in RF mode: Reduce the sensitivity setting. Environmental factors like Wi-Fi routers, cell phones, and other wireless devices can trigger alerts. Scan in a methodical manner, reducing sensitivity as you narrow down the area.
  • No detection in IR mode: Ensure you are looking through the red viewing window and scanning slowly. Some cameras may not emit IR, but their lenses should still reflect the detector's IR light.
  • Magnetic detection not working: Ensure the GS probe is securely connected. The magnetic field must be strong enough and in close proximity to be detected.
  • Short battery life: Ensure the device is fully charged before use. Battery performance can degrade over time with repeated charge cycles.
