4.3.6 TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Reset
The TPMS reset function is used to relearn TPMS sensors after tire rotation, replacement, or sensor issues, ensuring accurate tire pressure monitoring.
4.3.7 EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) Reset
EPB reset is crucial for maintaining the safety and efficiency of the electronic braking system when replacing brake pads or motors.
4.3.8 Injector Coding
This function allows for coding new injector control values to the ECU, ensuring proper fuel delivery and engine performance after injector replacement.
5. Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your FOXWELL NT650 Elite, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the device clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Store the scanner in its durable, portable case when not in use to protect it from damage or loss.
- Avoid dropping the device, as the fully encased rubberized jacket, while durable, is not indestructible.
- Regularly update the software via Wi-Fi to maintain compatibility and access new features.
6. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and tips for troubleshooting your NT650 Elite:
- Screen Not Working: If the screen does not work, please check the connection for security. Ensure the diagnostic cable is firmly plugged into both the device and the vehicle's OBD2 port.
- SRS Light Caused by Collision: The OBD scanner cannot reset an SRS light that is caused by a physical collision. Such issues typically require professional repair and module replacement.
- Clear Code/Reset Function Not Working: The clear code and reset functions will only work after the underlying fault has been physically repaired. The scanner cannot fix mechanical or electrical issues, only clear the diagnostic codes once the problem is resolved.
- Compatibility Issues: Car coverage and specific reset functions may vary between car makes, models, and conditions. The device's ability to support certain features depends on what the car itself can support. If a feature is not supported, it may be due to the vehicle's configuration (e.g., some cars do not support SAS reset).
