Setup

Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the grill for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all listed components are present: the grill unit, Bluetooth thermometer, and rotating barbecue basket. This model is largely pre-assembled, requiring minimal setup.

Fuel Connection

The Landmann 12302 grill operates on gas. Connect a compatible propane fuel cylinder to the grill's gas inlet. Ensure the connection is secure and free of leaks before operation. Always follow the safety instructions provided by the fuel cylinder manufacturer.

Important Safety Note: Always perform a leak test on all gas connections before first use and after changing the gas cylinder. Use a soapy water solution; bubbles indicate a leak.

Operating Instructions

Ignition Procedure

  1. Ensure the gas cylinder valve is fully open.
  2. Turn the control knob to the "HIGH" position.
  3. Press and hold the electronic ignition button until the burner ignites.
  4. Once ignited, release the ignition button. Adjust the flame to the desired temperature using the control knob.

If the burner does not ignite within 5 seconds, turn the control knob to "OFF", wait 5 minutes for gas to dissipate, and repeat the ignition procedure.

Temperature Control and Grilling

The grill features a vertical infrared burner designed for high-temperature searing. The control knob allows for adjustment of the flame intensity, thereby controlling the grilling temperature. For optimal searing, preheat the grill to its maximum temperature for a few minutes.

Utilize the included Bluetooth thermometer to accurately measure the internal temperature of your food. Follow the thermometer's specific instructions for pairing and usage. The rotating barbecue basket can be used to evenly cook items that benefit from continuous turning.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • After Each Use: Allow the grill to cool completely. Remove the grilling grate and drip tray. Clean them with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive brush or sponge.
  • Stainless Steel Surfaces: Wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a stainless steel cleaner. Always wipe in the direction of the grain.
  • Burner: Periodically inspect the burner ports for blockages. Use a soft brush to clean any debris.

Storage

When not in use, store the grill in a dry, protected area. Disconnect the gas cylinder and store it upright in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Covering the grill with a weather-resistant cover is recommended for outdoor storage.
