2. Setup
2.1 Initial Charging
Your Eco-Drive watch is powered by light. Before initial use, or if the watch has stopped, expose it to bright light (natural sunlight or fluorescent light) for several hours to ensure a full charge. Avoid placing the watch in direct sunlight for extended periods in hot environments to prevent damage.
- For optimal performance, ensure the watch is regularly exposed to light.
- A fully charged watch can operate for several months in the dark.
2.2 Setting the Time Zone and Receiving Radio Signal
The AT9031-52L is a radio-controlled watch that automatically adjusts time based on received radio signals. However, you must first set your home city (time zone).
- Pull the crown out to the first click. The second hand will point to the current time zone setting.
- Rotate the crown to select your desired home city (time zone) from the city names around the bezel.
- Push the crown back in. The watch will attempt to receive the radio signal for the selected time zone and adjust the time automatically.
- For manual reception, press and hold the lower right button (B) for approximately 2 seconds until the second hand points to "RX" (Receive).

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning Your Watch
Regular cleaning helps maintain the appearance and longevity of your watch.
- Wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth.
- For metal bracelets, use a soft brush and soapy water to clean between the links, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
4.2 Water Resistance
This watch is water-resistant. Refer to the water resistance indication on the case back. Ensure the crown is pushed in completely before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet.
4.3 Eco-Drive Power Cell Care
The Eco-Drive power cell does not require replacement under normal use. To ensure its longevity, avoid prolonged storage in complete darkness. If the watch stops, expose it to bright light to recharge.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Time is Incorrect
- Check power reserve: Ensure the watch is sufficiently charged by exposing it to bright light.
- Check signal reception: Perform a manual signal reception (refer to Section 2.2). Ensure you are in an area with good signal reception, away from electronic interference.
- Home city setting: Verify that your home city is correctly set (refer to Section 2.2).
5.2 Watch Not Receiving Signal
- Location: Try receiving the signal near a window or outdoors, especially at night when signals are stronger.
- Interference: Move away from computers, televisions, mobile phones, and other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Power reserve: A low power reserve can affect signal reception. Ensure the watch is fully charged.
