1. Product Overview
The Fischer FIS VL 300 T Craftsman Assembly Mortar is a 2-component (2K) injection system based on vinyl ester. This system is designed for reliable fixings in both cracked concrete and various types of masonry, including solid and perforated materials. It is suitable for a wide range of standard applications, offering versatility for both indoor and outdoor use.
The mortar's components, resin and hardener, are precisely mixed and activated only when extruded through the static mixer, ensuring consistent performance. This product is compatible with approved system components such as anchor rods (FIS A), internal thread anchors, and injection anchor sleeves.

2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when handling chemical products. Read and understand all safety data sheets (SDS) and product labels before use. Failure to follow safety instructions can result in injury or property damage.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing, to prevent skin and eye contact.
- Ventilation: Use in a well-ventilated area. If working indoors, ensure adequate air circulation or use respiratory protection if required by local regulations.
- Storage: Store cartridges in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Disposal: Dispose of used cartridges and static mixers according to local environmental regulations. Do not dispose of in household waste.
- First Aid: In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water for several minutes and seek medical advice. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; seek immediate medical attention.
3. Product Components
The Fischer FIS VL 300 T system consists of the following primary components:
- FIS VL 300 T Cartridge: Contains the two-component vinyl ester resin and hardener.
- Static Mixer: Essential for proper mixing of the resin and hardener during extrusion. Each application requires a new static mixer for optimal performance.
- Artisan Case (for multi-pack): A reusable storage and transport case for multiple cartridges and mixers.
Additional system components, sold separately, include:
- Anchor Rods (FIS A): For creating secure anchor points.
- Internal Thread Anchors: For applications requiring internal threading.
- Injection Anchor Sleeves: Used in perforated masonry to ensure proper mortar distribution.

4. Setup & Preparation
- Drill Hole: Drill a hole of the specified diameter and depth according to the anchor rod or sleeve being used and the substrate material (concrete or masonry). Ensure the hole is clean and free of dust and debris.
- Clean Hole: Thoroughly clean the drilled hole using a brush and blow-out pump. Repeat this process until no dust is visible. Proper cleaning is critical for optimal bond strength.
- Prepare Cartridge: Unscrew the cap from the FIS VL 300 T cartridge.
- Attach Static Mixer: Screw a new static mixer firmly onto the cartridge. Ensure it is securely attached to prevent leakage and ensure proper mixing.
- Insert into Dispenser: Place the prepared cartridge into a standard silicone squeezer (dispenser gun).
- Discard Initial Mortar: Before injecting into the drilled hole, extrude a small amount of mortar onto a piece of cardboard or waste material until a consistent, uniformly colored mixture is achieved. This ensures both components are properly mixed. Discard the initial, unmixed portion.
5. Operating Instructions (Application)
Follow these steps for proper application of the Fischer FIS VL 300 T assembly mortar:
- Inject Mortar:
- For Solid Substrates (Concrete, Solid Masonry): Insert the static mixer to the back of the drilled hole and inject mortar, slowly withdrawing the mixer as the hole fills. Fill the hole approximately 2/3 full to avoid air voids.
- For Perforated Masonry (with Injection Anchor Sleeve): Insert the injection anchor sleeve into the cleaned drilled hole. Then, insert the static mixer into the sleeve and inject mortar, filling the sleeve completely.
- Insert Anchor Element: Immediately after injecting the mortar, insert the anchor rod or internal thread anchor into the filled hole with a slight twisting motion until it reaches the bottom. Ensure the element is centered.
- Curing Time: Allow the mortar to cure completely according to the manufacturer's specifications (refer to product label or technical data sheet for specific curing times based on temperature). Do not load the anchor during the curing period.
- Variable Anchoring Depths: The system supports variable anchoring depths between 60 mm and 400 mm, depending on the application and substrate.
- Approved Applications: This mortar is approved for M8 to M12 anchor sizes in masonry and M10 to M20 anchor sizes in concrete.

6. Maintenance & Storage
- Cartridge Reusability: Pre-cut cartridges can be reused. After use, leave the static mixer attached to the cartridge. For subsequent use, remove the old static mixer and attach a new one.
- Storage Conditions: Store cartridges in their original packaging in a cool, dry, and dark place, protected from frost and direct sunlight. Ensure the storage temperature is within the recommended range specified on the product label.
- Shelf Life: Observe the expiration date printed on the cartridge. Do not use expired mortar, as its performance may be compromised.
- Cleaning: Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with appropriate cleaning agents before the mortar cures.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues that may arise during the application of the FIS VL 300 T assembly mortar.
- Mortar Not Mixing Properly:
- Ensure the static mixer is securely attached and not clogged.
- Discard the initial amount of mortar until a uniform color is achieved.
- Check if the cartridge is expired or has been stored incorrectly.
- Difficulty Injecting Mortar:
- Verify that the correct dispenser gun (standard silicone squeezer) is being used.
- Check for blockages in the static mixer or cartridge nozzle. Replace the mixer if necessary.
- Ensure the ambient temperature is within the recommended application range. Cold temperatures can increase viscosity.
- Anchor Not Holding:
- Confirm the drilled hole was thoroughly cleaned of dust and debris.
- Ensure the hole was filled to the correct volume (approx. 2/3 for solid, full for sleeve).
- Verify that the anchor element was inserted immediately and fully into the wet mortar.
- Allow sufficient curing time before applying any load.
- Check if the correct anchor type and size were used for the substrate and load.
