4. Setup Instructions

The Medical King Bed Assist Rail is designed for tool-free assembly and easy installation.

4.1. Assembly

1. Unpack all components and ensure they are free from damage.
2. Connect the main frame pieces by aligning the pins and holes, ensuring they click securely into place.
3. Attach the storage pouch to the frame using the integrated fasteners.

4.2. Height Adjustment

The bed assist rail features adjustable legs and an adjustable hand bar to match your bed height and personal preference.

• To adjust the height of the legs, press the metal prongs on each leg and slide the lower section up or down until the desired height is reached. Ensure both legs are set to the same height and the prongs snap back into place.
• The hand bar height can also be adjusted by pressing the pins and sliding the upper section of the frame.
• The rail can be adjusted from approximately 33 inches to 42 inches in height.

4.3. Securing to Bed

1. Slide the base of the bed assist rail between your mattress and box spring/bed frame. Ensure the handle portion is positioned at the side of the bed where assistance is needed.
2. Locate the securing strap. For Queen and King beds, secure the strap to the center support column of your bed frame. For Twin and Full beds, secure the strap around the entire bed frame.
3. Tighten the strap firmly to prevent the rail from shifting or wobbling during use.

5.1. Using the Assist Handle

The curved, non-slip hand bar provides a secure and comfortable grip for support. Use it to:

6. Maintenance

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Rail Feels Unstable or Wobbly

• Ensure the securing strap is tightly fastened around the bed frame.
• Verify that the adjustable legs are locked into place at the correct height and are resting firmly on the floor.
• If using with a thin mattress, additional securing to the bed frame may be necessary to prevent tilting.

7.2. Difficulty Adjusting Height

• Ensure the metal prongs are fully depressed when attempting to slide the leg or handle sections.
• Check for any obstructions or debris within the adjustment holes.
• Note that the rail has a specific range of adjustable heights; it may not be suitable for all bed heights if they fall outside this range.
