Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Clean Before First Use: Wash the egg holder tray, poaching tray, omelet/steaming bowl, transparent lid, and measuring cup in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
- Placement: Place the egg cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from the edge of the counter.
Operating Instructions
1. Hard-Boiled Eggs (Up to 7 Eggs)
- Measure Water: Use the provided measuring cup. Fill water to the desired line (SOFT, MED, HARD) corresponding to the number of eggs you are cooking. The measuring cup has markings for 1-7 eggs for each doneness level.
- Add Water to Base: Pour the measured water directly onto the heating plate of the base unit.
- Pierce Eggs: Using the piercing pin located at the bottom of the measuring cup, gently pierce the large end of each egg. This helps prevent cracking during cooking.
- Place Eggs: Place the pierced eggs onto the egg holder tray with the pierced end facing upwards.
- Assemble: Place the egg holder tray onto the base unit. Cover with the transparent lid.
- Start Cooking: Plug the unit into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power button. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Completion: The cooker will automatically shut off and beep when all the water has evaporated and the eggs are cooked. The indicator light will turn off.
- Cool Eggs: Carefully remove the lid (beware of steam). Transfer the cooked eggs to a bowl of cold water or an ice bath to stop the cooking process and make them easier to peel.

2. Poached Eggs (1-2 Eggs)
- Prepare Poaching Tray: Lightly grease the poaching tray. Crack 1 or 2 eggs directly into the poaching cups.
- Measure Water: Fill the measuring cup to the 'Poached' line.
- Add Water to Base: Pour the measured water onto the heating plate.
- Assemble: Place the egg holder tray onto the base, then place the filled poaching tray on top of the egg holder. Cover with the transparent lid.
- Start Cooking: Plug in and press the power button.
- Completion: The cooker will beep when done. Carefully remove the lid and poaching tray.
3. Omelets or Steamed Vegetables
- Prepare Omelet/Steaming Bowl: For omelets, whisk eggs and any desired ingredients in the omelet bowl. For vegetables, place chopped vegetables in the bowl.
- Measure Water: Fill the measuring cup to the 'Omelet/Steam' line.
- Add Water to Base: Pour the measured water onto the heating plate.
- Assemble: Place the egg holder tray onto the base, then place the filled omelet/steaming bowl on top of the egg holder. Cover with the transparent lid.
- Start Cooking: Plug in and press the power button.
- Completion: The cooker will beep when done. Carefully remove the lid and omelet/steaming bowl.

Maintenance and Cleaning
- Always Unplug: Ensure the egg cooker is unplugged from the electrical outlet and completely cooled before cleaning.
- Wash Removable Parts: The egg holder tray, poaching tray, omelet/steaming bowl, transparent lid, and measuring cup are dishwasher safe (top rack only) or can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water.
- Clean Base Unit: Wipe the heating plate and exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains on the heating plate, use a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits may accumulate on the heating plate. To descale, add 1/4 cup (60ml) of white vinegar to the heating plate and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Scrub gently with a non-abrasive sponge, then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Repeat if necessary.
Troubleshooting
- Eggs Not Cooked to Desired Doneness:
- Ensure the correct amount of water was used according to the measuring cup markings for the number of eggs and desired doneness.
- Verify that the eggs were pierced correctly at the large end.
- Unit Does Not Turn On:
- Check if the unit is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Ensure the power button is pressed firmly.
- Eggs Cracking During Cooking:
- Make sure each egg is pierced at the large end before placing it in the cooker.
- Avoid using eggs directly from the refrigerator; allow them to come to room temperature for a few minutes if possible.
- Difficulty Peeling Hard-Boiled Eggs:
- Immediately transfer cooked eggs to an ice bath or run under cold water after cooking to cool them rapidly. This helps the shell separate from the egg white.
