Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The iMagic deadbolt is powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries. When the battery level is low, the keypad will display the letter "L" along with an audible smart alarm. Replace all four batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

Emergency Power

In case the batteries completely drain, you can temporarily power the lock using an external DC5V USB power bank. Connect the power bank to the emergency power port located on the exterior unit to gain access and replace the batteries.

Troubleshooting

Built-in Alarm System

The lock features a built-in alarm system that triggers if someone attempts to tamper with the lock or force entry. A 5-minute lockout mode activates after 5 unsuccessful attempts to enter an invalid code or 10 unsuccessful attempts to enter an invalid fingerprint.

Reset to Factory Settings

If you encounter persistent issues or need to clear all settings, you can reset the lock to its factory defaults. This will erase all registered fingerprints and PIN codes.

  1. Hold down the 'Set' button at the bottom of the interior housing using a small pointed object (like a paperclip).
  2. Continue holding for 5 seconds. You will hear six short beeps followed by one long beep, indicating that factory settings have been applied.
