Setup
1. Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the speaker's charging port and a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off once fully charged. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

2. Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a circle or power symbol) located on the top of the speaker until you hear an audible prompt or see an indicator light.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the speaker powers down.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode. A blue LED indicator will typically flash rapidly.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
- Search for available devices and select "Nakamichi Mate" from the list.
- Once paired, the speaker will provide an audible confirmation, and the LED indicator will typically glow solid blue.
The speaker will automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired device when powered on.
4. AUX Connection
For wired audio playback, connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX input port on the speaker and the other end to the audio output jack of your device. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.

Button Functions (Touch Control)

- Power Button (Center):
- Press and hold: Power On/Off.
- Double press: Switch between Bluetooth and AUX input modes.
- Volume Up (+) / Next Track:
- Short press: Increase volume.
- Long press: Skip to the next track.
- Volume Down (-) / Previous Track:
- Short press: Decrease volume.
- Long press: Go to the previous track.
- Play/Pause Button (Usually a triangle or circle):
- Short press: Play/Pause audio.
- Short press (during incoming call): Answer call.
- Press and hold (during incoming call): Reject call.
- Short press (during call): End call.
Waterproof Functionality
The Nakamichi Mate speaker is rated IPX6 waterproof. This means it is protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction. It is suitable for use in outdoor environments where it may be exposed to splashes or rain. Do not submerge the speaker in water.
Ensure all port covers (charging port, AUX input) are securely closed before exposing the speaker to water to maintain its waterproof integrity.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the speaker's surface. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use for extended periods.
